A year is long enough at that age, she hasn't got anything to wait for since your Dad, sorry to say this, is not coming back. Let her get on with her life, she needs it, you don't want her to grow old alone, do you?

37 is still relatively young (I'm 36), so you cant expect her to not eventually find someone else...as much as that may suck

btw- your mom was pretty young when you were born

So your mother was 18 when you were born,right?Thats not THAT young i suppose.Though outta curiosity,why does the dating thing bother you?Because you think its too soon?Or because the guy's a dick?

Because I don't want to see my ma with another man. And I'm going to meet him tonight at my ma's birthday party (she turns 38).
