Congrats Mark and Sergio. You guys definitely deserve to go through. Halak put on a world class performance that I haven't seen in a while and it seemed like guys such as Subban and Cammascary wanted it more.

To me, it also seemed that the Pens looked around and saw the Caps and Devils out, so they thought they could get a free ride to the Stanley Cup again. Glad to see that did not happen. Well done.

To Pens fans, you really, really, REALLY should trade Crosby for the first pick in the draft. And I'm not kidding this time. :jvefan:

The big duo didn't step it up again.

Mark must be celebrating on the streets of Montreal right now unless he's in his pj's trying not to jinx things and no one has bothered to tell him the game is over.

Congrats to him and Sergio  Great series!

If you had to name one event that set the tone of the game, or changed it in favor of the eventual winners, it would have to be the first ten seconds of it. Crosby taking that foolish boarding penalty to give Gionta his early goal 30 seconds in really set the Habs on their way. It's exactly what the Habs needed, and exactly what the Pens did not need.

If it was me, Crosby would be stripped of the captaincy immediately. He is NOT a good leader, but rather still just a kid, and was a major detriment to his team tonight.

Said it time and time again.

"I don't see how you can call a too many men penalty with 10 seconds left in Game 7."

    - Sidney Crosby

MAYBE BECAUSE ITS AGAINST THE RULES?

Crosby was saying that the Habs were more opportunistic than good, that the Pens beat themselves more than Montreal beat them, and he refused to admit they got outplayed.

Basically, he was saying this series was a fluke.

And folks wonder why he is called a little bitch and a brat.

Chris Pronger gets more respect than this piece of shit from me.

1st overall GONE, raining Stanley cup champs GONE!

    BUT

Let's not take the long chairs out for the parade yet. Boston or Philly could hit us hard and dominate physically. I expect a much tougher series next round unless their goalie flunk.

Habs did the same thing to the Pens that they did to the Caps. They were able to shut down the top line and protect the front of the net rather well.

But yeah, Mark is right. Whomever their next opponent is will offer more toughness in front of Halak. That will cause them some problems.

    <---- Habs fan.

I'm glad Philly won tonight. Now the Habs get to rest until Sunday and their opponent will be tired.

I thought this was the year that for sure we wouldn't see Habs/Bruins but it might happen!

well crosby is wrong...it wasn't a flucke...this is the way montreal plays..we needed to finish this game at their place...we had the momentum and the score..but losing at home in such a manner it's really unexpected. I would like some trades in the defence and some bitch slaps for the offence guys...it's umbelieveable that your best 2 offensive players to choke like that in the playoffs...
