It's unfortunate that they gave the Rangers 2 points, as they're the only team that can knock the Bruins out of the playoffs (something that's a distinct possibility, considering that Seidenberg is out for 8 weeks, and both Stuart and Ference are hurt... leaving only 3 of Boston's top 6 D healthy), but it's official:

With tonight's 5-1 loss to NYR, Toronto has clinched 2nd last place in the NHL. Tuesday, April 13th, I'll be tuned in to TSN at 5PM, hoping that my boys catch a lucky bounce at the draft lottery. We can do no worse than the 3rd overall pick... but #1 would be awesome. Seguin may now be ranked higher at central scouting, but the truth of the matter is that we need a winger who's a volume scorer - badly. C'mon, Taylor Hall!!

And come on, Bruins... last in the NHL in scoring, missing our #1 center, and 3/6 D... time for some guys to step the fuck up.

I get the feeling that Tuukka Rask might end up being the difference. If he had played more early in the season, he'd be the runaway rookie of the year, and maybe the Vezina trophy winner. He leads the NHL in save %, and GAA... What a future our young tender has...

Touching final Dallas home game for Mike Modano tonight. In the 3rd period they had a standing ovation for him and he couldn't handle it. Then after that he went out to score a goal, then went to the shootout to score the winner. Then another standing ovation ensued and he lost it again. :touched:

What a player, one of my favorites.

Shit is popping off in the Canucks vs. Sharks game. Both teams have five guys in the penalty box right now.

I really hope you guys get 1st overall, and I'm glad to see you're enjoying Tuukka Rask. Maybe you'll get 1st overall next year too. That'd be an epic slap in the face to Brian Burke and "Leaf Nation".

Mike Modano is a first ballot hall of famer right there.

One of the greatest U.S. hockey players of all time.

In terms of loyalty Modano is second to none. He stuck with the same club throughout his entire career, which is very respectable.

Do you really hate Boston more than the Leafs? Subban's awesome by the way, he's in the Spec every fucking day here. Franchise record for points by a defenceman, and the All-Star and All-Rookie teams...all in his first season in the AHL. Oh là là, ces veinards.

    yes, I do.

I live 50 miles south of Boston.

I hate the Bruins, and I especially hate their fans whom reside in Western Canada more than anything.

Christ, most of the bruins games out there start at 4:00 in the afternoon, they should be working.

    Assuming they have jobs.

I wonder how many folks hate Habs fans from Southern New England. :D

I can't wait to see the Flyers fuck themselves hard tonight, fistin'-style.

Leafs - Habs on Saturday should be a good one as well.

I think T.O. looks like they're finally headed in the right direction... so 2 top 5 #1's would probably be a little too much to ask... :D

It would be amazing... but still. That trade looks alright for us at the moment... and the 2 picks from this year are looking tasty! Oh yeah... and fuck Leaf Nation.

Mike Modano is class all the way and definitely a first ballot HOFer. Probably my favorite US born player of all time.

Of course, there's only been like 4-5 decent US born players in the history of the game, so that doesn't really say much about Modano. :p

    Kidding, kidding...

But yes, Modano is tits. I love that guy.

You marinara munchin', man meat molestin' motherfucker! :andy2:

You/we know that you're a closet Bruins fan who falls asleep beneath a Boston Bruins comforter every night, while masturbating to Don Cherry/Rock em sock em 1... and you know that you love Bruins fans in Western Canada.

As for the work thing... I'm actually off until June. Just got back from a visit to Ontario, and I'm going to England/Prague May 1st for a month to visit some family and friends... so no work for me right now. :p

Of course, when I was on the 8AM-6PM 4 day a week schedule, I would rock the Center Ice playback. PVR is the shit... although sometimes it's hard to avoid the score until the viewing. Text messages have fucked up more than a few games for me this season...

That work schedule was also fucking sweet, because I could take my extra day off in the middle of the week, to accommodate the Juve games... :D

Fuck, we better not miss out on Europe... My boss is/was a ManUre fan... I'll never hear the end of it.

I can't wait to see the Flyers fuck themselves hard tonight, fistin'-style.

I'm not a Philly fan at all... but a Rangers loss clinches the postseason for us... I don't have a lot of faith in my boys right now. Anyway, the Rangers are ass raping Philly atm. Whoops... 3-2 now...

Man... Now that I don't have to cheer so intensely against Toronto, I guess I can cheer for T.O. to help play a hand in eliminating Montreal...

    :spliff:

No, seriously though, I'd rather a Canadian team get in... even if it is the reHabs. Gotta keep our remaining franchises strong. Give Winnipeg back the Coyotes!

Edit: What a repugnant giveaway by Pronger, that bum! 4-3 NYR...

Oh my god... 11:45 mark of the 3rd... Possible the worst give away I've ever seen by Boucher (or any goalie), followed by one of the craziest saves I've ever seen... That was insane. You'll be catching the highlights, lads.

    It was Jody Shelley though...
