I know. That's why I said Mario is a "damn good owner".
I know you know. That's why I said "I don't have to explain that to you, Aaron"
:D

I was just throwing showing some love for one of the greatest players in the history of the game... or scratch that... One of the greatest players of all time, in any team sport. That's all.

As in, people do get carried away at times with the love for Cros and Gino (it's way too early for comparisons). Mario was on a whole different level, IMO. If he had stayed healthy, the numbers would have been just silly (they really sort of are already, but it's pretty amazing when you think about what could have happened. Just like Bobby Orr, had he not been playing on 1 leg for the majority of his career).

1 year, 2 million dollars.

The Red Wings have lost quite a few forwards the last 10 days
Their depth took a pretty solid hit, that's for sure.

All the best to Burnaby Joe. I certainly thought he could have played at a pretty solid clip for another couple of years. Sakic was an outstanding talent, and a class act; he will surely be missed.

It will certainly be a rebuilding time for us. Players like Leino and Gator will have to step up for sure.

I'm incredibly pissed off about this, but we might as well build for the future.

We still have the defense, so we may become more of a defensive-oriented team, which not many will like including myself, but it must be done for the results.

On second thought, Huds may still be a Wing after all.
