At least 2 guys have been hit to the head tonight but I couldn't say who since I'm half asleep while watching 3 games at the same time. :D

I think Tampa will win another game but they won't win the series, the Pens are just too solid of a unit for them. Even without Crosby they still have their forechecking system that really causes trouble for most defenses. Stevie-Y has some work to do in the summer.

2-2 thus far in Phoenix. The Yotes are really fighting for their lives, aren't they. Too bad they might as well take out the shotgun and step on a jet airplane.

Good game for us, very glad we got this done in four games, albeit without Hank and Mule tonight. Obviously, this will really come in handy for the next series. Last year we learned we couldn't compete physically by playing seven games first round. So good job, boys. Already improvement.

The best players of the series have been Datsyuk (probably the best player of the first round of the playoffs, period), Helmer, Jimmy Howard, Flips, and Kronwall. But even third and fourth liners like Miller and Ruslan Salei stepped up. I really don't have any qualms with how anyone played.

I think the Phoenix Coyotes did phenomenally well reaching the playoffs these past two years, especially with all they've been dealing with internally as a club. The fans that went out and supported the team throughout the years should be respected.

Guys, Darren Helm is turning into a very scary player to compete against. He was incredible this series at all ends of the ice and in the penalty kill. In my view, he'd be tied with Datsyuk as the first star of the series, followed by Jimmy Howard in third... even though Pavs was running a clinic every time he touched the ice. Helmer was just that important to our defensive play to be recognized on the same pedestal as the magician. I'd love to see him continue his improvement.

congrats andy...though a win in 4 matches is tricky because of the waiting
Thanks. It might cause some trouble if we don't practice properly, but the rest we'll gain from finishing early is more important than anything else. We learned that last year.

We also should have a full strength Franzen and Zetterberg by the time the second round starts.

Gotta love Datsyuk. He might be the best player of the first round - I haven't watched enough of your series really, as I considered it a 4 or 5 gamer at best. Perry has 8 points in 4 games for Anaheim, and continues to absolutely shred opposing defenses... he's been very, very impressive. What a season the guy has had.

Miller has a couple SO's too - such a quality goaltender. He would likely be involved in the very premature Conn Smythe discussion ;)

It'll be interesting to see how Detroit starts the next series. The situation in Phoenix is a total mess right now, and in the end they really weren't able to put up much of a fight, which is somewhat understandable.

Combine the lack of a real 1st round challenge with an extended layoff, and Detroit will have to be careful about putting up a stinker in game 1 of the next round. Luckily they've got an amazing coach to prepare them, tons of experience, and some superstar leadership.

Congrats on the round 1 win, buddy.

Thanks, Rollski. Pavs was all over the ice and pulling tricks like it was an exhibition series. Though Miller has been amazing as usual, no doubt about it.

The Coyotes entered the playoffs as a far better team than last year, winning much of their run up through March and April to the big show. That is very respectable considering their internal problems and all the Winnipeg talk. I think that after last year it was ingrained into us that we needed to get the job done soon, so the experience plus the skill won out in the end. I think the former will also help us in the long layoff between series as well, although we have struggled with that in the past... even with more renowned leadership.

Great games,we definietly need the rest,Cleary also said that in the post game interview, that some important guys for us are playing with minor injuries,so these few extra days of rest should do only good.
And i expect Babs and the veterans to keep the mental energy up,practice hard, avoiding any uppset in game 1 of the second round.

    LET'S GO RED WINGS!!!
