I guess they are going to look at Wagner as that stretch 5. He can certainly drain it from 3
recently, we (Bosnia) played a friendly match against Croatia, where Zubac, Bogdanovic and Saric + other experienced veterans won by "only" 13 pts against a bunch of zizinho level players (seriously, i was better than half those players when i was playing as a youngster)... aaanyway, i came across this video after the game:

here, Zubac talks in croatian, mentions talking to Magic and Rob at the end of the season and that they told him he should get more minutes next season. at 1st i thought he barely played last season so more minutes could mean anything, but now that we are left with him, Wagner and Javale (who cant play much anyway), im starting to think "more minutes" means something like 20 a night maybe? i would certainly not be against it

I can't remember who but an analyst was saying when we play small ball LeBron might take that 5 spot
you can bet on it, Lonzo/Rondo-KCP/Hart-Ingram-Kuzma-James will close out games for us, unless its against the Minnesottas, Philadelphias, New Orleanses of the world, due to their dominant centers

If you mean Melo from the Knicks sure, but the current Melo can't shoot. He averages 16 ppg on 40% shooting and that makes him look better than he actually was. Dude is past it and made the team worse.
i dont buy that Melo of all people cant shoot. he can definitely shoot, but its difficult to get the ball in you sweet spots and take the shots you want with Russ. Paul George shot 43% from the field and he was their 2nd option. OKC is a mess, judging players by their one season there would be a mistake.
what Melo brings you: shooting, scoring, some rebounding
what Melo doesent bring: defense, playmaking
Melo as solely the basketball player would be a good addition to any team, especially for the vet min. the problem lies elsewhere. Melo "doesent accept no damn bench role" so his attitude would be a problem for any team that sees his role differently as he does. would that be a problem in a team with Lebron James (or Chris Paul, if he goes to Houston)? i dont know, but they are the closest with Melo and have the best chances to keep him in check, certainly more than other teams would.
look, im not jumping of happiness over here about the thought of signing Melo, but i acknowledge hes still an useful asset at this stage of his career, if used correctly
