I'm not butthurt at all. Far from it. You just have a tendency to underrate anyone who is a Laker. And it would make sense if your retort to that was "Well, it's because you overrate anyone who is a Laker." But you know that I don't do that. Even Kuzma, whom you were absolutely drooling over during the summer and pre-season. Was there anything that he did during the regular season that made him change your mind? You said the other day that they didn't have any Alpha type rookies, when I could have sworn I saw about 15 games last year where Kuzma was totally unafraid to take the last shots.
Kuzma is my favourite Laker, but when say alpha talent I don't mean willingness to take shots, but just super franchise level talents as those names mentioned (Embiid, Simmons, Tatum, Mitchell, Towns, Giannis etc).

Kuzma gonna be a great scorer, but doesn't show the type of ceiling potential as those guys. He is gonna be a fantastic 3rd or 4th option type who will score with ease. But rest of his game seems rudimentary, in defense, sharing the ball, rebounding etc. But gonna be a fantastic natural volume scorer.

Ingram is still your biggiest upside talent, since he has the ability to a well rounded all star level marquee player. He is just bit more boring for me compared to Kuz. Just so fun to watch. When it clicks, seen him have some horrid inefficient games too, but some veteran leadership those bad habits go away.

Kuz don't play no defense  I'm not even sure he tries all that much. But he's got such an advanced offensive game, and he's put on some muscle this offseason, so maybe that will help him on the other end of the court.

To me, Ingram is the best all around young talent we have, and I really think that he has such a high ceiling. He's such a smooth player, and can play some hella good defense and handle the rock for someone of his height and wingspan. I just think that the fact that he looks incredibly stoned all the time may give off a vibe of aloofness, but he can flat out play.

Right now I'm playing a new NBA 2K18 my league season with updated today roster, and playing Ball, Ingram, LeBron, Kuz and Randle as starters. It's pretty damn fun group, I abuse all shooters guards with Ingram haha. And LeBron Randle pick and rolls really dynamic, just unfair.

Problem is getting Kuzma going in this lineup, thinking of changing him to bench and Ingram to PF instead, so he can be first option scorer when others rest.

Major annoyance is Lebrons drive and kick out assisting, Kuz, Ingram and KCP drain their shots (Frye too lol), but man Ball bricks like 8 out of 10 3pt attempts lol. Does well elsewhere. Nice to have a big PG anyways. If he only could shoot.

I don't know how many games the Lakers, as they are currently constituted, are going to win. I do expect them to be in the playoffs.

But man, are they going to be fun to watch.

Noels doesn't give a fuck. Walking bust on toxic lazy attitude alone, when he has the talent to be what Capela has become.

He can spend those 3m on buying hot-dogs at half time.

The only way this makes sense now is if the stretch and waive Deng, and give whatever they have left to Cousins on a 1 year deal.

And no, I have no clue at this point what they have for Cap space.

In other words, I have no idea what is going on right now

I am assuming that something else is coming soon.

I read 5.7 mil now. So they might need to trade Deng in order to pay Boogie.

I've said before that Ball's upside is a Rondo (during Celtics prime) type and level player. Perhaps they are bringing him in for a year to mentor Lonzo... I don't know.

Or perhaps so they can keep Ingram, they are using Ball as the centrepiece of a package for Kawhi, and Rondo is the replacement. :shifty:

Either way, it's fucking chaotic, and a complete mess right now.

I honestly don’t think the Spurs give two shits about Lonzo and Lebron would most likely prefer Rondo as a PG over Lonzo which explains the move. Rondo can win chips, Lonzo blows ass.
