Actually Cavs wins this 3 team trade. They get considerable upgrade from chump ass Crowder to a younger and better Hood and George Hill is type of excellent 3&D solid PG a contender needs over a broken Rose.

Crowder will do well in Utah. Hood is at the end of his deal. Plus he doesn't defend. Rose and Johnson will probably be bought out. There aren't a lot of picks available at the moment, so Utah did pretty good for a non contender.

And now here is something else to think about. If they can trade Deng and attach that 1st round pick that they just got from Cleveland, they could potentially open up 3 Max Slots.

And to those Celtics fans out there who are somehow convinced that this means the Lakers will slide back into the #2-#5 range in the draft. Thomas and Frye both do something better than what Clarkson does. Something they have desperately needed. 3 point shooting. The Lakers only get marginally worse, but they are currently have the 9th worst record in the league, and they have more talent than the 8 below them.

Dan Gilbert is off in Lala land. Only redeeming factor of today for the Cavs is that they managed to keep the Brooklyn pick. Oh, and keeping Cedi Osman too. I think he's a future star. Really intelligent player.

I'd say they are still worse than last season, and probably at best just moved sideways with the deals today. They definitely didn't get better imo.

Psyched to see what Magic can pull off in free agency over the next two summers. 2019 looks like it could be a big summer too, so Lakers definitely don't have to be stupid this summer with gifting max contracts to those not quite worth the max.

The Jazz have a good organization. Gobert is a monster and Ingles is a lights out shooter, but he's best coming off the bench. I think they're moving back into playoff relevance faster than people think. Unfortunately they have to make their mark as a developmental squad and will most likely always lose players to free agency. If they can pull a solid 4 and upgrade the PG position from Rubio they could make some decent noise in the west.
