Hartenstein for OKC is a big move and upgrade for them.

Their entire weakness in playoffs was lack of size and a 2nd Center to help out Chet who was being man handled. Fantastic to add a big time excellent role play big like Hartenstein for size defense and rebounds.

Now they aren't too small anymore. Can start Chet at PF.

I like Hartenstein already when he's at Rockets. Lack of talent but make up for it with hustle. He is elite in doing grunt work esp as a rim-protecter and a screener, also agile enough for a 7-footer.

Thunders' doing a great job by adding Hartenstein and Caruso btw. Squad wise I think OKC has the most balanced and deepest rosters in the west conference.

Embiid is pathetic. Treated NT duty like a mercenary club move. He even had first commital with France first, and wrote glowing letter of why he is choosing them. Before switching to US.

Cameroon was never an option for him. And they have a few NBA level players.

Mind you he never lived in France or wasn't born there, just got passport quick through relatives for NT opportunity. Atleast for the US even if its clearly glory hunting choice at 30, he has spent most of his professional career there.

He has a good reason to say that. 2006 young Wade was very very special. Had 5 year peak that was brilliant, before the massive injuries (meniscus removed) slowed him down permanently, to a star role player type.

2030 draft is gonna be very deep though lol
Good for Dillingham. Spurs have a lot of young players and more picks next year so that’s probably why they decided to trade him. Stephon Castle, who they picked on 4th is showing a lot of promise too. But regardless this will look like a failure for Spurs FO for sure.

Normally I can't stand giving up 1st round picks too much (the Gobert trade). But if they say you get a Premier talent, that looks like the best PG and scorer of the draft, by giving up a pick in 6-7 years from now. That's a good deal lol.

Especially since Wolves will be in 2nd apron cap hell after this summer, so can't afford to sign FAs etc. This draft and trading for a top 10 pick, was the last best chance Wolves had not only adding a top level talent to the roster, but a cost controlled one (needed since Conley on last legs). Rookie contract and bird rights later, not just Dillingham, but Terrence Shannon Jr who will be getting Kyle Anderson playing minutes coming season. Older rookie so ready to play off the bat, and gives me Jimmy Butler vibes.

Kyle Anderson we lost because we couldn't afford to keep him in thos new CBA and 2nd apron rules.

And yeah I seen Castle, he seems very well rounded, even if not much of a shooter. I hope you give him alot of playing time coming season. If you still suck you can join the Cooper Flagg sweep stakes lol Tho getting CP3 alone vet leadership should add 10+ wins to your column.

We’ll still suck but maybe a little less. CP3 is a good addition but will miss some games through injury and that’s when Castle can shine. Also no way NBA lets Spurs get both Wemby and Flagg.

Spurs have so many picks Dillingham probably won't matter. SL is pretty worthless, most of the games look like pick up games, but they make us feel good when a rookie does well. Jazz fans been up and down on every rookie/sophomore on a quarter-by-quarter basis, it's hilarious. I actually think basketball is even worse than football in that regard.

It's always a case of wait and see with rookies isn't it, bit of a crap shoot. Maybe Dillingham is an all star one day but Spurs would regret it a lot less than other teams.

I'm just enjoying how GSW think they hold all the cards for Lauri. Their fans are a bit delusional, although not as bad as Knicks fans during the Donovan Mitchell trade talks. Lauri doesn't want to leave, which is the big difference. There are also some permutations between him potentially extending on Aug 6 or Aug 7 - won't go into the details but the former would suggest a trade is more on the cards, whilst the latter would suggest the Jazz consider him part of the long term project. Lauri is maybe worth +10 wins per season so it does impact on how the team can tank, but Jazz are probably too good to be anything worse than 4th worst team. The 2025 draft is deep so it wouldn't matter too much, and Jazz could be the worst team but you know they'll drop in the lottery anyway so Cooper Flagg is never ending up here. There are 6-7 great guys in that draft, maybe more.
