Yikes, that's a lot.

NBA doing a two day draft with the 2nd round today, 1st round tomorrow. No way I'm staying up to watch the second round but I don't expect Jazz will use both 29 and 32 picks, there'll be a trade here somewhere. You can only have so many young players on your roster before it becomes prohibitive to development.

That’s insane

I get what the Knicks are doing, they’re going all in on contention. Bridges is a legit player, they probably see him as a Brunson who improved immediately upon getting there.

On the other hand, Bogdanovic didn’t get to really showcase what he can do and might end up doing great in Brooklyn, think they should’ve kept him

They really bought the Nova Knicks meme to reality haha — guess that team chemistry will be really high now

Having said that didn't know it it was even possible to trade that many picks

Pretty pleased with that. Cody Williams is the guy I think who was their top pick at 10. An athletic, genuine long wing who can defend and score a bit. Isaiah Collier was someone I remember raving about as a potential #1 pick early last season before he's dropped, quite harshly imo, and he might be a steal at #29. He will be angry but some humble pie will do him good.

So two French guys go 1 and 2 this year. I think all of these guys in the lottery are hard to predict one way or another, it's a tough draft to call but largely went on trend. Spurs drafted great again I think, they do get some nice rolls of the dice.

My sleeper for the draft is maybe...Yves Missi. Ridiculously athletic.

Now I furiously have to youtube him.

I expected us to trade up to like early 20s, not 8th pick!

Oh damn, it seems like we drafted Tyrese Maxey clone by just giving away one pick thats 7 years away. Hope he is as good as he looks. Because extra scoring and future PG is exactly what we missing.

Spurs trading 8th pick for a 2030 protected swap and a 2031 unprotected pick shows how much they believed in this draft class.
That's true. But also you look at who is left on the board for 2nd round and there are still some talented players. There's a lot of depth in the draft but it seems like similar quality or hard to predict across the board. But you know that a few excellent players will shake out, they always do.

Agree. In Spurs’ case they’re not looking for depth since they have plenty of young players as well as future picks. But 2031 is too far out. People were joking that they traded 8th pick for an 8th grader.

I've decided we need to draft Bona at 32 just so I can buy his jersey.

Edit: nvm, it was Kyle Filipowski.

Potentially really good draft for the Jazz. Hope springs eternal. Think Clarkson and maybe Dunn will need to get moved though. Ken Lofton has lost a lot of weight recently as well and I think he will be much improved next season.

Lakers doing everything to keep 40yo lebron happy so he can deliver them that play in spot. Not a serious organisation these days
I wanted someone to fuck with them and draft him then hold them to ransom for 3 picks or something lol.

I don't think anyone else would have taken him in the 2nd round anyway but it would have been funny. Why didn't Lakers just draft someone else and get Bronny on a 2-way?

Ok this year's draft is over. Now which teams are gonna tank for Flagg besides Pistons? Oops, too early to discuss?
Never too early for #flagging

That draft looks great, so good in fact that he's not even sure to be #1.

Of course I hope the Jazz trade the JCs for picks and run a tank with all the kids but there will be so many shit teams next season it'll be hard to even be bottom 3. I think you'd get potentially a lead/all star player even with a top 7 pick next year.
