Hedo to the Raps....
This is very interesting. I looked at it, and decided that I didn't really like it at all. We lose basically all of our bench depth due to salary restrictions (including AP, who while slipping a bit, is one hell of a good character guy)...
But then I thought about it, and realized that if Marion wasn't going to sign for more than 32M over 4 years, this was the only real available option at that position.
Hedo isn't the defending, rebounding, super athlete that this team needs, but he's very well rounded and very good at distributing the ball... and when your back up PG is as unproven as Ukic, that's crucial.
As for the depth, when you consider the fact that we'll probably have to deal Bosh sooner than later (god, that hurts me to say it), we needed another high quality player, and I'm sure there will be some nice pieces coming back in the trade... a bit of depth as well.
Fuck. I'm split on this one. Could be good, could be a very bad.

The only thing that Orlando has left is the Mid Level Exemption, which starts at 5.8 million. I don't think that Marion is the type of player to take a 12 million dollar paycut.
Unless they do a sign and trade. In that case, in order to make the salraies match, they would probably have to trade Rashard Lewis. Doesn't seem like an even trade to me
