Byrone, you should realize that I acted alone and wasn't a mod during the Fabi incident. So as of right now the only one to blame for Alen's ban is me. I didn't consult the other Mods before enacting it. Greg is no more than an uncounted vote at this junction. If you're going to judge someone or something, judge me by my actions.

The beauty about being a mod is that I can press "lift ban" whenever I want. Unless it's infraction based.

Believe it or not I actually considered banning everyone involved.

It's only logical to use the "lift ban" before you discuss his ban with your other fellow mods then.

Ok i remember there was a new rule related to abusive reps and pms when the new batch of mods came in and i agree with them. But the new rule didnt apply to reps a month older than when the rule came...so unban alen...make a rule u cant have dupe accounts and penalise him if he does it again. Or keep him banned n bam burke as well (maybe a few other favourites)

Btw fabi and burke's case wasnt the only one that has happened...o remember the indian thread andy created and twinkle doo and twinklee dumb getting their ass handed to them by preet...burke's insults in that thread were worse than retarded RUS on steriods.

Exactly. Preet was also called a dumb bitch & India was insulted yet no action was taken against Burke. I didn't care to bring that one up as you highlighted, Preet ripped Andy a new one.

You would rather see a very competent mod -- a mod of the year, mind you -- who has no reputation for being "ban happy" to sit idly by on his hands for 24-48 hours after someone performs what he deems as inappropriate behavior, allowing said behavior to continue for at least 24-48 hours while all the mods in the different time zones around the world have a chance to chime in.

Apologies for the lack of transparency. Here's where we are at:

I banned Alen. People disagree.

This is what happened in Mod Land:

I stated why I did what I did and asked for input because if so many people are upset then maybe I am wrong (could be, I'm not perfect).
Greg happens to agree, Red feels one way, Jay feels another, Kate feels another, Tahir another, and so on.
Through our debating we've come up with a few options.
I've set up a poll and we will vote. Whatever the majority decides will be. So know. I'm not digging my heels in. I'm just waiting.
