Non. Just joking (poorly, as likely to avoid the rain as is him improving his posting), about the inevitable of RUS acting exactly in the way that got him banned dozens of times before. I'm usually against permanent bans, but some rare case simply call for it, dont leave you any options.

If you genuinly think this forum is better off with him around, Its fine, especially since he rarely directly bothers me (ignore mostly). But its all so predictable, it t will be "fun" for a while since he was gone so long. But he will litterally pollute threads like no other quickly again when that amusement factor wears off for posters.

Nope. Just not looking forward to reading half dozen off topic pages of seeing the same group of giddy posters poking and prodding him to get predictable strong reactions until he gets banned, again X 4032. Aslong as it stays only in pointless offtopic threads dont care tho, which will be unlikely.

1) Noone is getting paid for anything. The mods don't get paid by me and I don't get paid by anyone, apart from the odd donation.
2) And it costs a lot more than that to run the site obviously but who cares about that? Well I care of course and so do many others.
3) I don't know why money has anything to do with it anyway. It's about how the rules are written, how they are being followed and what happens if you don't.

4)BTW probably 95% of the warnings are because people insult the management, team, players or other members here. How about just not doing that? Not saying everyone needs to get along but a line has to be drawn.
1) Fair enough. Donations are what I was referring to.

2) I don't know much about how to run a website, but I can make a few logical deductions and assume that people will be less likely to donate in a place where they feel less secure. I have no intention of being a pain in the ass here, like I said in my post, I just wanted to know - publicly - why I was banned for a month.

3) I think we both know this would have been a much shorter conversation if I had actually broken a rule.
Me: "Why was I banned?"
Him: "Because you broke this rule."
Me: "Alright then, fair enough."

Not because I'm such a nice and reasonable guy, but because I wouldn't have been able to argue my point and have it hold out for this long if I had actually broken a rule.

4) Same as 3. Do you feel like that line has been crossed in my post in THIS thread? Forget the other one that I was banned for, but the post I wrote in this thread complaining about the issue, does that post in your opinion warrant the infraction I got?

You don't have to answer that if you feel that the answer is no, you don't even have to have a word with X - him seeing this conversation unfold will be enough to drive the message home and have him think twice next time.

You banned him for being double account for a month, he isnt one is he? And he questions this understandably confounding decision, and is met with what? Derision and dismissal? Ofcourse he gets annoyed, but on this thread alone, he didnt insult you, he questionned the very decision, and the rebuttal was not reasons or arguments for the decision or what rules were broken, but instead is more infraction for....having an opposing opinion? There is not a fine line between insult and critique. And you talk about abuse but how isnt it questionable to get banned for a month accused of being double account with no basis given? His "denigrating" reaction wouldnt be there if there was a sensibly valid reason given for the ban. Instead of earning more infractions just for speaking up? It doesnt sound so complicated as you make it sound like. Yes a forum is dictatorship, even that has limits, there oughta be an amount of fairness and reason to it all.

May I ask whats even the point of this thread if not for issues like this? Besides repeating the same hilarious mistakes like unbanning RUS for the upteenth time lol.
I already answered his question, what i don't have to accept is his abuse, refer to last paragraph of post that got infraction.

So to sun it up you have not presented anyone who was banned for their opinion and no 'reasonable' alternative to weeding out the tens of doubles and spam we encounter every day, yes we get that many. So in conclusion i believe i have answered as much as i can on this subject, and you are obviously free to think what you want.

Purpose of this thread is to give some sense of clarity, which it does.

Just FYI, here's a list of all the donations for the past year. 7 donations, total 75 USD. Same period the year before we received 6 donations, total 55 USD. Don't think I don't appreciate it the donations, I really do and it certainly helps. But it's a very small sum compared to what I pay every year to run this site. It's probably so few donations because I don't beg for them. I'm not a wealthy man either, my girlfriend certainly makes more money than me for example and so do most of the people I know. I don't mind though, I'm happy to run this site ad free.

Just a little info before someone else is calling me corrupt and dirty.

As for the mods it's true that the mods are much harsher than they used to be. For a long time this place was barely moderated at all. Was it better back then? Some probably would say so, others wouldn't.

Did someone really say you were corrupt?
