No offense intended, but i'm still quite upset about the christmastree thing in brussels, and apparently the same happened in denmark.
Why are you upset about a christmas tree? :D . It's funny how when Muslims are a minority in a community they're portrayed as isolationist and uncooperative, when they're a majority and the elected people make a choice not to spend 1000 euro's on a Christmas tree it's wrong and undanish. Perhaps if our government wasn't busy pushing them into government housing for the past 30 years we would have a better integrated society.

Fuck Christmas trees, fuck them right up the ass - especially for the price of 1000 euro's which could be spent much better. Since it's a housing project for lower middle class families, perhaps that money could be spent on reparations or put into a fund to help the ones worst off, instead of being forced to spend it because of some tradition they have no interest in being a part of.

Its bigger then that. And i know if i would try to explain the issue we have in belgium, that i'm going to get trolled or deliberatly misunderstood.
Right wingers would certainly have you believe it's something bigger than that - fact is that every integrational problem in Europe is a result of not giving a shit for several centuries.

my point exactly, most will interpret events simply to confirm inherent bias, instead of looking at conditions which breed a certain behavior we instead label

im not familiar with either event, what happened?
We used to have a christmass tree in brussels square. everyone loved it because its kinda nice to watch.
This year, they put a ugly ass piece of art that nobody really likes, "because a minority complained that it was a religious symbol"

a massive petition to reverse the decision did nothing.

in brussels, stuff like this happens more and more. currently there is this case, in wich a police officer wanted a headcovered women to identity herself, she refused and heatbutted him.some guy from a radical party, known as "sharia4belgium" then later provoked quite big fights in the outskirts of brussels.

And that just happens, mostly to the incompetent politicians we have in brussels, who famously noted that a policeofficer who got hit by an AK47 was "a fait divers"
