I agree completely with you ! The reason at the end of the day U.S wanted Iraq specifically is personal of course dating from the Gulf War and Bush the father. Assads are worse and now they're immune. The one thing threatening them is the Hariri investigation now. This is why Syria wants to open negotiations with Israel and get them off the hook on this because they'll be accepted to Western World and all that. Saddam sent 39 scud missiles (non WMD warheads) against Israel during the Gulf War, unprovoked and even though Israel never participated in the campaign. Miracalously, they did not inflict any deaths directly. It's indeed the reason Palestinians like him which is strange because they don't mind what happened to all the Palestinians Kuwait expelled as a result of this support... juventus710, with offensive

I've watched and read lot about the gulf war but It's the first I hear that he sent some scud missles, though I know that he threatened Israel alot just like what Ahmady Najjad is doing ATM. Thanks for the new Info anyway.

-Bashar regime's do know that they're not really accepted, not only from the Lebanese but from Arab countries aswell (Saudi, Egypt, Kuwait and so on) to the west countries and then States and the list goes....So by sitting down with Olmert's gov they think they'll be somehow much more accepted atleast to the west again looking back at your post like you've said.

In that movie there's a couple saying they're Serbs, they stand in front of a Serbian flag and the translation in the bottom says "I'm Russian".
And I don't want to bring the Israel-Palestine conflict here again, but I have to mention that ppl in that film naming what country they're from, and there's a guy saying he's Palestinian, but officially there's no country named Palestine.
Altogether it kinda ruins the credibility of this movie... Although the idea is nice.

Rebel, these kind of videos do destory lot of facts about us Lebanese... Not that I'm blaming you for putting It, Infact I've always wanted to talk about this topic to lot of people who think that we Lebanese keep talking about Sheaa, Sunni, Orthodox or Durzi etc....thanks for brining this up.
In Lebanon the problem is between the leaders but was never the sects case, we have 18sects in Lebanon and we managed to live in peace until foreign countries invaded our country in the 1970's until 2005 when Syrian troops left Lebanon.
For example, Hariri supporters most of them are Sunni's, Nasrallah supporters most of them are Sheaa, but that doesn't mean they're against each-others because of this(religion), but because Nasrallah has his own map and Hariri got diff one. The same goes with other leaders.
Lot of Sunni are against Hariri, lot of Sheaa(me for example) against Hezbollah, lot of Christians are with Hezbollah, It's all routin like this. So people are really missing the point here and again I repeat It's about leaders plans and not their religions or what they believe in.
