That's a bit too much man. Rafic Hariri's plans were very long term. We were probably meant to suffer for a very long time, while our children would've reaped the benefits of a modern Lebanon with it's strong infrastructure and numerous benefits.
This was the plan in theory. Otherwise, how else can you explain this huge debt?
I for one, have always respected Rafic Hariri's vision for Lebanon's future, and for it's reemergence after the war. He was all we had, his money, connections, and reputation. He was even on good terms with Hezballah before his murder.
Someone feared his rise to power in Lebanon too much, that ended up in his tragic demise.
That said, Hariri does have his negatives...unfortunately his successors are even worse.

Even Nasrallah can't deny what a man Rafik Hariri was, I'm not waiting someone like this guy to describe me who Hariri is.
The guy loved all the other sects probably more than Sunni. He was a man of his word. Media accused him lot of things(thanks to Syria secret service) because they feared him...and I think you know that as you lived in Lebanon.
