I think we will sign another CB as backup as we will get rid of Legrottaglie and Boumsong.

Possibly this Ivanovic guy, or hopefully Zapata.

i was thinking on gonzalo rodriguez, probably the best option and a player who almost joined us b4 villarreal, but their manager pelligrini wants rid of all its argentine players and has already told the remainders that if they want more playing time they will have to look elsewhere, but really more of a long term answer to when we replace andrade whos reaching 30

But if we sell both legro and Bousomg and get a new CB, we'll have only ONE backup CB, and that 's not enough, remember Andrade is injury prone

Seems the mercato ain't closed as what the club lead us to believe. Something could happen in the next 4-5 days according to many "gurus" "close" to the Juve environment.

--->Cannavaro?

I really think Boumsong is gone before August 31st, and Legro will stay as a backup. As well, I fully expect one more defender of moderate to excellent quality who can rotate with Criscito. If Ranieri wants Chiellini to be that CB, I'd actually go for Zaccardo (yeah, I know... hear me out)... he's a guy who had a lot of potential, but due to some very notable mistakes, his career is plateauing. Even so, he's way better than Molinaro, Legrottaglie and Boumsong... and in a new setting with new responsibilities, he might be able to regain a spot with the Azzurri. Palermo is definitely more willing to deal him than Barzagli, despite the new contract signings, and would be a lot cheaper. He's in the right age group (25-28), has proven Serie A experience, and would likely accept the fact that he might not always start unless he's consistent and superior to his competition.

If Ranieri wants to keep Chiellini at LB... I'd go for Cannavaro as a 2-3 year stop-gap while Criscito matures.

I will be a bit disappointed if they bring in a "big" denfensive signing. A say we give Mimmo the chance. Then we can use Legro and Boum as back up or buy Zapata or some young player as further back up.

well if you must know the latest news is that the players arn't so keen on a cana return especially since the likes of dp,gigi,neddy and camo stayed behind and show alot of resentfulness towards canna bailing out
