Luka is at least ten times better than Kranjcar who you might say wasn't that great at Portsmouth but in second part of the season he was one of their best players (ok, maybe I'm little exaggerating) but my point is that he needed time to adapt to new league. And is pretty ridicoulus to say that Eduardo is not good enough for Arsenal and that Corluka is also nothing than average (guy just signed for MC and immeadiatly became starter).
From what I see it seems that you are bised towards croatians.

I wan't to say that Kranjcar is great, but not that great, that he could play for one of the biggest club in Europe (Juve, Man.Utd, Barca,...).
Problem with Kranjcar was the fact he was mistreated from an early age, both by Dinamo and his father later on in the NT. I mean he was made captain of Dinamo at age of 18! He was managed horribly during his stay in Croatia and he made a good move by joining Portsmouth and getting away from it all. He always had the talent but was pushed too far and too soon. He's doing good in Portsmouth but was unlucky to get injured and miss the start of the season. If injuries spare him in the future, one or two seasons in Portsmouth I think he's gonna prove himself and make a step towards a bigger club. I really do think he has what it takes even do he was crossed out by many here after leaving Dinamo for Hajduk.

When I watch Luka, I must said that he is amazing, but I'm not shure that he will succeed in big club in Italy. IMO the problem is that he is small and weak and I think that the right league for him would be Spain, because he is fast and the teams in Spain play faster and more attacking football. If he could go in Bayern (or Arsenal) this two club was mentioned in Slovenian news, then he should take a chance. I hope that I'm wrong and that he will have a lot of success.
please don't compare Nedved with Modrić. Nedved is a "warrior" and Modrić is not even near that at this time.
I agree with you that hight is not evereything, taller players are much better with the ball but 5 cm can be a big difference when the ball is in the air.

OK now you will say that Messi is only 169 cm, and thats true, but IMO Modrić will never be that good. Because of Messi and Robinho I think that the right league for Luka is Spain.
Yes, he is small but he's not so weak, nonetheless lot of players were small and weak and still managed in big clubs. Messi, Robinho and of course Maradona, mind you I'm not compairing Modric's ability and skill with any of them, just their physical stature.

I do agree Italy wouldn't be the best place for Luka, but I can't help it, I'd love it if he came here to Juventus. He has the talent to compensate for his physical "flaws". All in all I think it would be best for him to go to Arsenal where he would join Eduardo and most of all Wenger. Bayern would be a good choice for him as well as our players usually play well in Germany and Hitzfeld is one of the best managers ever IMO. He would have a lot of competition in both clubs, especially in Arsenal but that's not a bad thing, quite the contrary.

Spain would in theory be a perfect place for him but I don't see which club would need him. I think the news reports are correct and Arsenal or Bayern could be his next destination. Luka's got what it takes and I'm sure he'll make it, it won't be too long before we find out his new club. I just hope he doesn't choose money over things that are better for him in the long term.

LOL, I think you have no idea what you're talking about. Do you know Wenger's track record with buying young players? How many unknown players has he bought and made into stars? Sure he had his share of blunders, like everyone, but when it comes to this Wenger knows what to do.

This is a pointless debate though as only time can tell, but for what it's worth I think you don't know jack shit about football.
wenger bring many young talents, but everyone can't succes, and he is not so young like 19, 20, he is 24

+ all those goal that he gave for dinamo you can put away half of it, because it was all set just for him to give goals to sold him for more money, of 51 goals, he had 17 penalties

Look Goggo. Please look back at all my posts and you will see that it was not me (it was juventino#16) who say something about Eduardo or Corluka. I agree that I never like Croatian NT but not because of players, because of juournalist, who are too overbearing. But I think that this team have something special because they are young and really good. What I like in all Croatian NT (special in handball NT team), they fight for their NT, they play with heart and because of that they are wery successfull.

But I would like to return to your post. It's too sone to say that Luka is ten times better than Kranjčar. I was a big fan of Hajduk Split (brothers Vujovič, Sliškovič, Gudelj...) and i still have some sympathy for them. I was more than happy when Juve sign Bokšič or Tudor and they are Croatian too, right. When Kranjčar was still in Dinamo, he shows some quality and when Kranjčar sign for Split as I remember everyone said that Hajduk took the biggest talent in Croatia. But he was then nothing special and because of Croatian NT he came to Portsmouth. I am happy that he have a good season there, but please, don't tell me that Portsmout is a big club. Maybe he will improve and his destination will be some bigger club but we will see. And the same is for Luka, he must prove his worth in some smaller team first but if he could go to Bayern or Arsenal, this will be fantastic for him and he should grab a chance.

Look, because I was born in ex- yugoslavia and I'm not taken over by politics, I wish that every player from Croatia, Serbia, BIH,... OK and specially from Slovenia will have a success and the best career.

Vlatko, I agree almost 100% on your last post and I understand you that you would be proud if you see him in Juve. I wold have the sam felling if there was a boy from Slovenia.

Marko Basă, 25 yr old Le Mans defender was named this evening as the latest Juve transfer target on the SportItalia Channel. If true, our summer "shopping" is not over after all, which will be a relief to many of us. The French football enthusiasts on the forum will have more info than I can give right now on the player himself, as I only caught the final seconds of the report.

Addition: He is a Serb/Montenegrin, & as far as I know is a central defender.

there are also rumours that Lione is ready to put 5 mio EUR for Boumsong (i think that someone should pack his bags), and that Sunderland is ready to put 14 mio EUR for Chiellini (I hope that he will stay because defensively he is much better the Molinaro)

I hope we can make a surprise transfer at the last day of the transfer window... of course if that happens Moratti will accused us of secretly bringing back Moggi.
if it is its gona have to be to secure diego for next season must sort out a replacement for nedved now he's given us a set date for his retirement, or to at least finally fill that void left by zidane

If that's gonna happen, I hope we get a class player, like West ham did with Tevez and Mascherano, Cuz it will be so pathetic if we bring a loser at the last day and go like: You believed that our summer transfers are over...... Got ya

Has Mascherano and Tevez brought West Ham anything but problems so far?

Tevez helped a lot, he kept them in the EPL, but any way I was talking about the surprise, signing 2 great players at the last day cant be compared to signing some unknown defender from the Hawaiian league, with all respect to Hawaii
