esnaider, salas(ok injury), kovacevic are the first that come to mind, lets not forget zebina. we did revitalise canna but canna was always class, just that he made the mistake of inter. esnaider was really talented before coming to us, kovacevic played excellently when left us. it's not a rule, juve can bring out the best out of players and it doesn't have to.

zanchi and fresi were cb's, athirson a brazilian left back, baiocco was a dmc from perugia i think. mirkovic was a low quality zambrotta, versatile but just crap of a player. blanchard i can't remember.

I dont believe that good players are on a free transfers.

We should look at players who are expiring their contracts in summer 2007 and get them on Bosman rule.
