Ben Arfa has struggled to cement a starting place at Lyon, having to compete with the likes of Karim Benzema, Sidney Govou and Fred for the attacking positions, and he is yet to commit to any sort of contract extension.
Wenger is reportedly on the lookout for a left-sided attacking player due to the constant injury troubles surrounding Tomas Rosicky and Robin van Persie, and the Gunners boss is expected to bid in the region of ₤12 million for the services of a player such as Ben Arfa.
Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas recently rejected claims he had already received an offer from the North London club.

It would be a dream to have Ben Arfa, heck with that price I consider it a steal. But I doubt that the story is true since Lyon's president isn't stupid to sell for so little.
