I don't know how many instruments each of them play and I'm not trying to compare them at all. But Prince is a musician so often overlooked. At least in RNR waters, and wrongfully so.

I think Wings were a good singles band though I have to admit I havn't heard to much of their albums.

The best post Beatles album is without a doubt All Things Must Pass by George Harrison.

Are you talking about writers of the lyrics? Or about the composers of the music? Because I think the former is basically topping on the cake in the great majority of cases. I can't remember ever loving a song because the lyrics were great while the music was terrible.
