metzelder is as good as theirs and they are just about to get heinze. Even if they dont get heinze, they would have canna, ramos, and metzelder. 3 players who deserve to start on any club. They wouldn't need another cb. It would be stupid to get milito and have 4 cb's that all want and deserve to start. Seeing how we gave them emerson and canna they should do the right thing and back off.
The possible arrival of both Metzelder and Heinze means that Real Madrid wouldn't pay more than around 7 million Euros, as the former is free. So, I can see them still want to capture Milito. Another thing, maybe Cannavaro hasn't convinced them during the previous season and they want to get rid of him, especially after taking into consideration that Capello would possibly leave. Hence, their back line will be consisting of:

Ramos - Metzelder - Milito - Heinze

Maybe this is what they're thinking about for the next season, who knows?

ya but canna has really played well in the last few months of the season. He has been their best defender and a great leader. I think canna will want to defend his title at real and will want to finish out the rest of his contract their. I dont think real will change around the defence that much after finally winning something. Why fix something that aint broke? Their champions now, so why would they add 3 new faces to an already solid back-line? It's risky if you ask me.

But if that does happen, lets get canna back for 7 million and have criscito learn from one of the best. We could potentially get canna and barzagli for the same price as milito......

Yes, Cannavaro's performance improved more in the last few months of the season and he wants to stay, as you said. And I agree completely with your first paragraph, but I don't know how the situation will look like after Capello's departure.

As for us getting Cannvaro back if we fail to sign Milito, I think he won't be as Milito. Milito would be the answer now for our defence problems, he's motivated, young, strong and a leader. But unfortunately, if Milito opts to go to Madrid, our options will be more limited.

Milito would be option A, if we don't get him i'd opt for barzagli and canna for option B. Either way I would be confident with our backline.

Why not Milito option A + Barzagli, and if it fails Canna+Barzagli.

Juventus NEED 2 CB's that can do the job.

i agree we do need 2 cb's, but i didn't mean it in that kind of way. I was just saying either buy milito for 17 million+ , or buy canna and barzagli for almost the same price.

oo, ok.

Who do u want as a partner for Milito?

cannavaro :p

I guess barzagli would be the best bet. But I wouldn't mind forming chiellni into a cb and having molinaro develop his game even more. He does have serie A experience. Plus we would get another 12 million to spend on someone else.....

Milito Unlikely, Juve Turn To Garay

The negotiation for the Real Zaragoza defender has complicated itself and the Bianconeri are now looking at the Racing Santander player

Gabriel Milito seems closer to a move to Real Madrid following the latest developments. Real Zaragoza have in fact increased the price tag on their defender from 20 to 25 million Euros as soon as the Merengues joined the race to sign the defender, and the Bianconeri are not ready to pay that amount.

For this reason, Juventus have focused their attention on Ezequiel Garay, another Argentinean central defender who plays for Racing Santander according to 'Marca'.

This would be a cheaper solution for the Old Lady as Garay is younger than Milito and managed to score 10 goals with his club this season.

Garay has a contract till 2011 with Racing Santander and now it's up to the Bianconeri's directors to follow up their interest and see if the deal can go through.
