His agent has already said he hasn't spoken to Real Madrid, the only stumbling block is the fee between Juve and Zaragoza. Juve should offer Miccoli as part of the deal and be done with it. €16.5m + Miccoli seems fair.

Zaragoza are just plain greedy!

:agree: Offer a player + money already offered. No more money! Come on Secco - talk them round.

Surely moving Milito to a side which they do not have to face as a rival should be worth selling him for a couple of million less.

Saragoza is playing with fire here. There is a good chance if Juve pull out of this deal, then they only have Real to deal with. Real is one dirty team in the Mercato right now, so it is clear as a daylight that they will start low-balling and reduce the amount they agreed to pay previously. So all in all, Saragoza might end up with a bid that is less than Juve's, a disgruntled star, and no choice but to accept the offer. They will look awfully stupid. I think we should something like full owernship of Zalayeta, loan of Miccoli, or Tach/Blasi should be enough.

I might get some flak for saying this...but I think we should learn from Real on the mercato. While they don't always go for the players who fit the squad the best, they are very good at throwing their weight around. And they have always played dirty, with the result that they pick up high profile players they want (except Kaka, but we'll see). There is no reason for us to pay 25m, or every team after this will think that they can scalp us on any old player. 15-17m + Zalayeta + Miccoli is more than enough.

    A. H.

Real pretty much sponsored our domestic and European succes from 2001 till 2003 by buying Zidane for a ridiculous amount of money.

I suggest we don't try to learn from them.

if I understand correctly, Capello wanted Milito but now that's he's probably gone they're are not sure if the new coach wants him.

The only team who made a formal offer is Juve, they need to find the right price.

I read elsewhere that Milito wants Juve, not Real.

    We'll see.
