Its actually quite a shame we depend on CL money so much for increased revenues.

This isnt the case for a Real or Bayern for example.Bayern are at an unfair advantage though. They have like some 20+ sponsors and its easy to attract them when you are your country's premium club and there is no other club to compete with Bayern 'the brand'.Juve though have Inter,Milan primarily and Napoli/Roma to a lesser extent who are all big brands within the country.

It's not the number of sponsor what is important here as we probably have more sponsors than Bayern, but it's their financial potential and willingness to pay for the advertisements be it on Bayern's jersey or panels around the pitch. All competition is on global scale so number of good clubs in one country can hardly be negative factor. If anything it increases league's appeal. Bayern played in 3 CL finals in the last 3-4 years so of course sponsors are willing to pay an extra buck.

Inter are getting 20m a season from Nike, when we re-negotiate our deal with them we need to make sure we are blowing the merda out of the water, and every other team in the league.

I hope we get a good deal
That revenue increase is a great news but its a shame that a team such as Juventus make a loss and not a profit
We have to get better deals if we want to be able to compete with the lions of europe in terms of transfers as for right now I cant see us splashing to get a top player even if we see him as the player who will take us to the next level

i long for the day we can get rid of this:

Is that even possible to achieve?
Very hard, unless you want to see less competitive squad. You will hardly find any business around with 0 debt. Basically imagine this scenario: You own a company and need to purchase some equipment, but atm don't have enough cash, or expect payment in the future for some previous service that you had provided. You will probably take a loan, as you expect future benefits from using that equipment to surpass costs of the borrowing.

Now Juventus need to invest in rebuilding first team. They will have funds in the future as every week, month they receive small portion of funds from sponsors, tickets, television, etc... But the problem is that now they need 50m. So having in mind potential income they will take this risk of borrowing. The real problem is when you don't generate enough funds to repay previous obligations. In that situation you roll over your debt once it matures, which will give you more time for repayment, but at the same time it becomes little bit more expensive. Juventus are lucky side, as most likely we tend to borrow from one of our affiliates, who charge us with relatively small interest rate. To confirm this Juventus' financial expenses (interests) were 6m, while net debt last year was 130m. United for example payed more than 350m interests in period of 4 years. Now that's a lot.

Renegotiations for sponsorship only in 2015.

It is highly unlikely that we will repeat the income of the last year. In the long run this steady improvement will depend on sponsorship + commercial revenues. It will take a few years.

I think we will have to spend low, like this season, in the next 2, as a lot of installments are still due to be payed. What should be done is the maintenaince of the current team + investment in youth + 1 or 2 rotation players. Just a trim on the squad. But definitely not heavy investments, unless we sell one of our top players.

Revenue increased by 70 mil , 65.3 of that beeing from the CL. (tv, radio)

So our actual revenue increased by 4.7 mil, wich is not bad, but as we can see, we wont get over 300 just yet.

Most importantly, looking at how napoli is playing and milan is having asshole luck, its very likely we'll net below that figure due to 3 italian teams in knockout rounds (if we get there)

Juventus needs to work on dat sponsership.

We need to consider the fact that we were lucky to get such a high payout from CL. It is EXTREMELY unlikely to occour again.
Even we win CL, it depends on the other italian teams in CL. A lot of pieces has to fall into places if we can match the same payout.

So consider a decrease in CL money for this year.

That's why from a Juve perspective it's always stupid cheering for Serie A teams in CL. Cheer for them in EL. But in CL the less clubs there are to share the league-allocated revenues with, the better.

Hypothetically if every year italian teams would do very good and went to the last possible stages, finals and semi's, then it's almost certain that more money and more prestige would be in serie a, which in turn would benifit us too.

Talk about protecting your own long term (financial) interests.
Hi there. :D

The only thing I can think of to cheer on another Italian team (after calciopoli keep in mind, that's why mode of thinking at this juncture) is if we are border line between 3rd an 4th place and because of the co-efficient scenario we only get 3 teams in the CL then it makes sense to get that 4th place seed back.

Otherwise...fuck em.

(I know you tend to have more eloquently written pieces on here...please forgive my American way of thinking out loud  )

Fuck them indeed, but I agree with Buck, that if you're argument is making more money because of this, the argument is funny :D
