Right, because all the other threads are damn fruitful.
Right

and so much positivity and understanding can come from a topic such as this :andyandbarcelona:

You've been here for like 5 minutes yet you think this kind of thread is a fantastic idea. Go read up in the religion sections and tell me how those other threads turned out.

And then run home and get your shinebox

Isn't these the worldly pleasures that everybody seeks? Lust and freedom from anything that connects them with their troubles and pain?
Yes but those pleasures don't make people completely happy. You don't have to be religious to recognize a short flood of dopamine to the brain is not worth all of the consequences.

It doesn't have to have anything to do with morals or god.

To me the fairytale would be the ability to live life freely.
    What the fuck?!

Why do you fear living freely? Why do you surrender yourself to religion so easily? Don't you think that since God has not made your purpose on earth so obvious, he probably intends you to find a purpose YOU believe in and not blindly follow what some book says? Since there is no apparent purpose for our existence yet, why do you cling on to false hopes offered by religion?

What do you know for certain about the "afterlife" that you believe in religion so much? Do you know any specific details? Do you know on what exact basis does God throw you into heaven or hell? Do you know what acts he considers a sin and which ones he consider otherwise?

Yeah but I always thought smokers and drinkers were the coolest guys around? :alen:

You might not isolate yourself from the whole world, but you have a freedom that you don't quite know it's worth. You could let go of a lot of your morals, these old ones holding you back, just because there is no one to judge you. It's your life and your decisions, and in the end it's all the same results, so might as well have some fun!
What are you talking about? Unless you live by yourself in the desert there is always someone to judge you. Even if you can convince me that you don't care if you have any friends and you don't care if your family tells you to go to hell, you still can't act in complete freedom, because the police will put you in jail. And noone wants to live their whole life in jail. Therefore, you can't just do anything at all.

Maybe. But still you have the right to experience this whenever you want. You might not constantly do it, but occasionaly you do, when you need/want to.

Yeah, that sounds about right. There is no god, ergo I am free to hack up my mother with a rusty axe.
    You are.

If you are a completely disturbed person and devoid of sentiment. You will get punished though so you might think about your consequences.... but if there was no punishment for killing, and God didn't exist, then if she pisses you off why not?

    Of course.
