I don't think you understand. I don't think the 99% are the problem, but you do the maths. How many muslims are there? So how many people are that 1%?
I also firmly disagree with people who completely dismiss the violent nature of Islam. The Qu'uran itself isn't free of violence, Muhammad wasn't completely tolerant towards people who didn't believe.. all of this doesn't exactly make it hard to misinterpret the Qu'uran.

This is a very touchy subject. Muslims are becoming less and less tolerant towards the views of others. Obviously I do not think about people like Zé Tahir or sallyinzaghi here, but did you know 30% of the British muslims aged 18 think the sharia should be installed in the United Kingdom? What folly.
This even goes for Antwerp as well. Sure, there are fascists in Antwerp, but there are also lots of fundamentalist muslims, who actually managed to ban alcohol in certain streets. That's right, they threatened barkeepers. I, for one, will not allow my fundamental rights to be challenged because some idiotic muslim fundamentalist thinks I shouldn't drink beer. Perhaps muslims should think about things like these and be a wee bit critical towards other muslims instead of continuously defending their religion, which, just like other religions, offers an excuse for violence.

I want you to study the Qur'an and then come back to me and tell me how the Qur'an is violent. There are have been thousands and thousands of people who've studied it; people from all over the world and there are many that beg to differ. Then you study the life of Prophet Muhammad and tell one instance in which he was intolerant. I can go on and on about his treatment of non-Muslims and people in general. Do not take this the wrong way, I'm offering an open discussion. Just as long as you're respectful as I will be. I really hope you take me up on this. Of course I'm not an expert so I will try to answer as many questions as possible, the rest I will find out for you.
