You guys fail to understand how much your contract situation affects your market value. At the start of the summer, everyone here was screaming 60M for Chiesa or gtfo.. abd now we’re ok with taking 13M. Why? Because we risk losing him for free.

You have zero leverage in selling a player with just one year left on his contract.

And you fail to understand how market dynamics work.

Chiesa is coming off a poor season and a long term injury. There is no comparison to his contract situation given that the 'asset' in question is not a bankable one.

We're talking about a hypothetical scenario where Vlahovic has an elite season. It's the rich teams that create the market. If there's a demand for a top striker, the contract situation is irrelevant.

The contract situation is never irrelevant, wtf. Even when Real offered 100M for Mbappe, he was probably worth 3 times that, but they offered just 100M because he had one year left.

It kind of depends.
If this team continue to maintain this style and improve - The whole team would have its value rise.
D.L came here this year but should he explode we would probably cash in and replace him. Thats kind of what Juve did in the 90s. Created talent and sold him high just to get someone new just as good who could fill up.

It could also be others obviously. McK might get a good offer, Vlahovic if he continues to score...
Let the staff worry about it.
As long as we perform and create moments it will be taken care of by itself

Same, if Vlahovic comes of a 40 goals a season in all competition, several clubs from Europe like PSG, Chelsea, Madrid, Newcastle, Man Utd will go for 40-50m bidding war for him instead of 80-100m. But along the way if there is 1 or 2 clubs that really need striker and fear they will be missing out, this will increase the dynamic of his price to around 50-70m marks but not to his real value

His contract is a must resolve one in the near future by Giuntoli, hopefully he can lower his salary to around 9-10m net per year
