Eh

Seems like another meme Atalanta player tbh
That is risky. From the big Atalanta transfers over the years Id say most of their CBs have turned out to be good purchases for the buyer, while most of the more attacking positions didnt live up to expectations. Kessie the only non-CB player I can think of who sort of delivered on his promise.

Gasp football making attackers look better than they are and defenders having to learn quickly lol.

Best case scenario for us with Man Utd scouts watching. They will probably spend 70m on this guy just because they can't negotiate, and they will think Bremer is shit.

So he's become a 'dream signing' now

Good player but not a €60M player

Prolly slight upgrade over Fagiot but we don't have money so...
Rabiot is better defensively, this guy is mostly attack this season. Imo we could do better than him when it comes to a offensive minded CM, especially for 60m.

I agree on the risk but not to this degree. A few cases from memory:

Cristante is a starter for Roma and regular for the national team. Spinazzola certainly delivered in footballing terms, just injuries hold him back. Hojlund at Manchester looks like a great talent. Pessina and Colpani keep Monza alive.

I do worry about these attacking midfielder types from Gasperini though, that and the wing backs are the harder to translate out of his system.

Cristante as a 22yo before moving to Roma: 12g4a from midfield in 17/18. Cristante since then: meh

Youre right on Pessina though, always liked that guy

then sign gasp too :snoop:

btw this is impressive, regardless of gasp

It's like the elephant in the room no one wants to acknowledge. But if Gasperini routinely makes his players overperform from their usual level anywhere else. How about just get Gasperini instead? Crazy thought I know lol, but seems like he has figured how to make a system that gets the best out of his players, whoever they are.

i like gasp. he's a juventino too. i'd easily give him two years to work. at least he's extremely demanding and his atalanta is always very well prepared physically. both would be an upgrade over the current regime, both coaching and physical preparation

his doubters have a few good points though. since he's very demanding and an older dude himself, he's a bitch to work with. he had beefs with a few players, it's not a surprise that his team is always changing with only a few constant regulars. he also failed to win coppa finals in italy, although they were considered the underdogs against both lazio and pirloventus. so he often gets labeled as a loser. (i don't think those comments are fair though, since he usually has a relatively cheap squad without star players.) he never worked with strong personalities on the long run either.

his short spell at inda is often mentioned as an argument against him. i'd completely ignore that experience as that club was a mess when he coached them.

anyway, koopmeiners looks like a good player. not for current "let's try to not lose this match" allegri obviously, but with a coach focusing on playing forward i do think he could be useful
