When they beat us in the Champions League final he was unbelievable, and basicly won the game for them.

On the top of his game he was one of the best midfielders of the decade and i would love to see a midfield with him, Davids, Zidane and Nedved.
Gattuso was a good DM no doubt, but definitely not the best.

Makelele, Viera and Deschamps were all better than him IMO.

I'd personally prefer Cafu over Thuram on the right.

And it would be too hard to decide about the left back. I never really rated Carlos that much.
Cristian " Balls to the Moon " Molinaro.

You have to admit, there's nobody quite like him.

I hope he's kidding even more about Scholes.

I think the ginger head is underrated and not given enough credit, especially outside EPL followers, but in no way does he deserve to be in the team of the decade.

Ballack? I hope you are kidding.
Why?
Probably not someone who makes it the starting XI, but the guy was almost always the best player of teams who made it to the finals of important tournaments. He never won anything, but he lasted throughout this decade and in the opening 5-6 years of the decade he was considered by many to be the best MC, or one of the best 3 in the world.

Ballack was one of the best for club and country: before his Chelsea days. No joke.

Scholes was arguably the most important player for Utd. No joke.

Both worthy of consideration.

shouldn't it be 99-09 if it's a decade?

If it is Roy Keane is in the team.
for me again,Keane would be in the team of the 90's like Begkamp

i am in that same boat, though i do see some peoples claim for Scholes, i despise manure but tha boy has been delivering the goods consistently for a long time now

You tried so hard to be different from the others, didn't you?

But you failed because Juve's big fan also had a 10 men team.

I think subconsciously we couldn't decide if we wanted 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 :D

Edited though, I had a hard time deciding between Xavi and Pirlo, went with Xavi, cause Pirlo is a Meelanista :yuck:
