Stará dáma" začína čoraz viac pociťovať dopady korupčného škandálu
28.12.2006 15:37 - ZURICH

Už od leta viedli obe strany rokovania o redukcii sumy a niekoľko hodín pred vianočnými sviatkami využili Líbyjčania klauzulu o vypovedaní.

Táto mala priniesť do klubovej pokladnice celkovo 155 miliónov eur, no Juventus v tejto sezóne uvidí zhruba päť.

Odchod "korunných klenotov" Ibrahimoviča, Zambrottu, Vieiru, Cannavara, Emersona a Thurama síce priniesol do klubovej pokladnice 80 miliónov eur, no budúcnosť "starej dámy" je stále viac neistá.

It means that tamoil withdraw the contract with us, and will be the sponsor only to the end of these season. The text says that we become only retirement benefits of 6-8 mil. euro instead of 240 mil. euro in 10 years. And the partnership with nike brings these season only an amount of 5 mil. eur +-. (bad news) :scared:

The Vecchia Signora may be down in Serie B paying penance for her executives’ sins but the bad news still continues to make the Bianconeri a shade blacker. The Turin giant has confirmed that the sponsorship deal with Tamoil, worth 230 million Euros, will be coming to an end in June 2007 instead of 2015.

The Libyan oil giant, controlled by Libyan leader Muamar Gadafi and his football-mad son, has pulled out its Oilinvest backing for the Italians definitively after failing to renegotiate a suitable deal with the Juve management. Didier Deschamps’ men will carry on using jerseys with the now-familiar logo until the end of the current season.

With Serie A an obligation for next season, Juventus are also hoping that they’ll be in a far stronger position to negotiate a new sponsor and cover the huge hole made in their forward planning. Until then the club is slated to adopt a few economic measures aimed at slimming down the budget given the tighter monetary constraints.

The first thing to bite the dust has been plans to renovate the Delle Alpi stadium into a FIFA Class A facility. These plans will be shelves until a new deal goes through or a separate financial partner can be found. The Tamoil pullout is estimated to reduce the Juve budget by around 30% and may also affect the winter transfer acquisitions Deschamps has demanded.

It sounds worse than it is. Juve were aware of this for a while and are busy evaluating new sponsor deals. In addition, FIAT had an excellent recovery thanks to sales of the new Punto and Ifil (parent company) have already stated that money for players once we are back in Serie A is coming from them.

Heads up people we will be back in Serie A with money to spend!
