someone told me that nike were refusing to have their logo on the same jersey as a libyan company and thats why in the CL the nike sign is non-existent (dunno if thats true)
What the hell for? "Sure we abuse Asian children but we don't want to be associated with the questionable Lybian regime"? Doesn't the Ghedaffi family more or less own Juventus anyway? That means Nike should just pull out altogether if they're that big on morals...

That's from about three years ago. The only reason why that happened was because Nike was an American company, and with Tamoil, a Libyan enterprise, Nike didn't want to feature on the Champions' League shirts due to the United States oil embargo with Libya. It was politically-infused, and therefore hard for me to explain from my vantage point as an eighteen year-old.

However, Nike and Tamoil made peace in the 2004-2005 season, and featured together ever since. After all, what choice did Nike have when Juventus switched Tamoil to their main source of income as the #1 shirt sponsor?

Read on the Swiss Website www.4-4-2.ch:

Juve is planning very big things for the next Season. It seems that perhaps Fiat will be the new Sponsor on our Jerseys. On the First moment there was a Sum around 30-60 Mil for the Transfermarket but now the Situation has changed and it seems that we can have around 100 Mil to spend on the Market.

Clear Targets for our Market are Grygera, Mascherano, Barzagli, Klose and Huntelaar.

With this Money the contract talks will be easyer to do. The only Player that will probably leave will be Trez.

But Blanc will not give at the Moment any informations to the Media because of our concurrents.

    Hmm very important news...

Yikes that's pretty big news. Very vague, but big.

having "FIAT" in black letters across the shirt would be cool though. Even better than Sony

100 mil!? No way. Not possible.

Plus, what would Fiat get out of sponsoring Juventus? They would basically be paying themselves.
