Maybe we should get someone else who is good but had an average season last year or a guy who is at the end of his contract.

miccoli and del piero are not midfielders... nor are emerson and meresca are hardcore defensive ones... we should only gamble those tactics when the opponents are only sitting back defending their one goal lead...

I can garuntee you all that Capello will not use just Emerson as a lone defensive midfielder. He will use Emerson much like he did with Roma, as a roaming central midfielder. Also, like he used Dacourt as a defensive midfielder, he shall use Tacchinardi. So Alessio will be the holding, defensive middy, and Emerson will be able to contribute to both aspects of the game, specifically roaming on the edge of the box using his incisive passing ability. Nedved shall be roaming around the box as well, with Oddo, Zambrotta, and Jankulovski (or Cesar) running the flanks.

My line up again:

Capello said he would use Zambro as a left back again, but if he doesn't:

I like Jankulovski better in a more attacking role, so lineup #1 sounds good.

reason for gilardino is because he can play a lone striker with two players feeding off him whereas trezeguet seems to struggle being a lone striker.

Yeah i know, but if i most choose between Legrottaglie and Montero, then ill take Montero, not because he is good, but because Legrottaglie is even worser.

Lets hope some new defenders will be bought, Bonera would be nice.
