By the way guys, I just had a thought. Is Asamoah left footed? I can't remember. My guess is that he is. Now here is an idea.

How about a 433 with Asamoah on the right? Being left footed is better in that case because you cut in and shoot with your left while Lichsteiner can still make runs for the crosses.

Giovinco, Vucinic or even Tevez can play on the left side of the front 3. So imagine this:

-------------------Buffon------------------

Lichsteiner----Barzagli---Bonucci----Chiellini

-------Vidal---Pirlo----Marchisio/Pogba------

Asa/Pepe------Tevez/Llorente----Vuci/Tevez/Gio

Actually Asamoah has all the characteristics to play well in that role - he has a great shot on him.

The great thing about that formation is that the same players are on the pitch as if we were playing 352 - i.e to revert back to 352 Asamoah moves back to the left wingback position and Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini return to a back 3 with Lichsteiner further advanced.

Could be a useful variation during the game if the team can get used to it. 4231 Is also possible if you push Marchisio up.

nono mate the best idea is to stick with what was practiced throughout last month (and last two years), as Conte said, 3-5-2 brought us two titles. Why change? so thats a fair point, unless oponents will get too familiar with us we wont change by any chance

Do people who are having to work so hard to come up with new contrived ideas of how to use Asamoah and change to 4-3-3 not take that as a hint that Juve might be better off as they are?

lol Asamoah is the most left-footed player ever, more like.

IMO it's started already. I think this season we'll be forced to try new things out.

I like the idea, but I think we need a real RW for a 433. Asamoahs workrate and defensive abilities would be sort of wasted at RW/LW for that matter. At CM king Asa really proves why there was such a hype around him before he signed with us..

Yeah good old Davor. I remember one goal with his right foot against Germany WC 98 QF. And that's it. Typical lefty but great player nonetheless.

That pic is from semifinal the same year. Too bad Thuram scored his only 2 goals in his career for NT against us. Talking about a bad luck.:facepalm2:

Adriano as well. Majority of left footed players really have poor right one.
