I live in Europe. But I see what has become from this once glorious continent. Europe has problems that it won't overcome:
- Huge amount of young uneducated immigrants who will never accept the European way of life.
- Riots in different countries by those immigrants.
- Unsustainable welfare benefits.
- People thinking that they don't need to work
- Euro
- Greece
- No possiblity for change, everything decided by unelected officials.
- No growth, huge amount of unemployed.
- Liberals and socialists.
...
Frankly it's a shithole. Can't wait to get out of here.
-it dont think we have more immigrants than most others
- they are not the ones "rioting". demonstrating is a political right executed by normal people from students to older people who are unhappy with politics
- I am proud of our social security net and its not unsubstainable. I like haveing a health inscurance if I work and I automatically pay insurance for a time when I might be unemployed.
- most people want to work
-I prefer the euro over some weak currencies, so it can compete with the dollar. It just needs to be more flexibel
-people voted for the political parties from which those officials are chosen. I would prefer a direct voting but its not undemocratic
-in austria we have almost the fewest unemployed and we are led by social democrats
-"liberals" now you cant hide your american right wing side. we are more liberal and lefthist than the USA who just has no left and that is a good thing for europe
-"socialists" This has become a fighting term for right wing americans who have no clue about socialism, but want to express their displeasure about healthcare and social security insurances. face it, we are capitalists. and we have social democratic political parties
It may be a shithole to you but I would want to live here and no way I am going to america, where I can get fired every day and then die of flue on the streets the next week. And thats not the worst part about america
