I would welcome De Bruyne on 2 year contract. Even if he is physically spent, his level of IQ, technique and vision would service our young team well.
I suppose two years can't be that bad. But I can't imagine taking a step down in team and league will give him much motivation to give his full effort, after all he's already won. This would be his pre-retirement phase.

We thought that about Di Maria too but he failed
yup, the quality was there, the motivation wasn't

and kdb would be a very similar purchase. although conte is quite the motivator, de bruyne looks like someone who doesn't give a shit anymore. just listen to any of his interviews from the last year or so, even during the euros last summer. imo mentally he checked out already

De Bruyne with Conte's military sergeant training regime. Good luck with that.

I think he'll probably join Napoli knowing that Conte will leave

if my gut feeling is right then he doesn't give a shit about their coach, tactics or any specifics other than the two essentials:

wifey loved the city + big paycheck = deal

and they are set for the next 2 years. win-win

equally definitive statement probably based on nothing substantial but sounds much more believable than all that "osimhen only wants jj" bs

This will probably expose Pedulla big time as he's insisting on Osimhen 'prioritising' JJ

I think this news is definitely more believable and I think he'll sign for an abroad team as well

if it was planned all along could be a clever negotiating tactic against ADL. Claim you only want J and stir up a ruckus then after some time passes ADL feels much more open to letting you leave to premier league for less money because at least its not J.

If he willing to pay cut, we are not in the business of splashing out on luxury players with a high risk of injury. The queue at the Jmedical is crowded and does not have the capacity to accept more injuries.

It could be a bargain or a burden. He can add experience and better vision. On the other hand he could be lazy and not fight for balls consistently.
Given a reasonable wages he might be worth the risk but on super high wages - Its more of a risk than a reward

Did you guys know about this:

"For the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, a special transfer window will be open from June 1 to June 10 for all 32 participating clubs to allow them to sign new players. "

@Mark you think we gonna make some moves during that window?
