A back three is still possible imo. Talk is that Gatti has impressed and will play. Bonucci best fits in a back three. Bremer has exclusively played in a back three at Torino, including as a LCB in ’21. Danilo at this stage in his career is probably more CB than RB. Sandro as well but ideally he’s not even in the project.

Unless we plan to use Chiesa and Di Maria as wingbacks and Zaniolo as SS back three doesn't make sense.

Agree. It's a bit overpay for us and Torino getting the benefit of it. But it also has some advantages for us :
- We got De Ligt replacement. Best Defender in Serie A last season. still quite young 25 y.o. and have same build muscular like De Ligt
- Bremer will have quite enough time for pre-season and join our USA pre season. With 2 new CB Bremer and Gatti, it's better to have them early
- We can focus to look for another opportunity to strengthen the squad and focus to resolve some issues : Ramsey, Arthur
- Inter will need to adjust their strategy with Skriniar. Before they confident to balance the books with selling defender better than selling mid or attacker like Marotta mentioned. So their plan is to get maximum value from Skriniar to PSG or cash out for expiring contract of De Vrij and get cheaper replacement in Bremer, but now they must readjust it.
