On some level, I could agree. Depends on the player. I think a player like Kostic will acclimate to Serie A and Juve very quickly. But definitely agree its very hard to replace 1/3 of the squad seamlessly and not expect early season pains. Which killed us last season.

The huge difference is we're buying experienced players this time instead of rookies. And we didn't switch coaches/style.

Danilo is being massively overrated by a lot on this forum lately.

He’s a good, honest professional, but doesn’t add a lot on the field tbh. Can’t attack, makes the odd fuck uo defensively and is prone to errors. But he’s a likeable guy who seems to love the club so he gets a pass. We really could do better in his position too, but priorities obviously lie elsewhere.

Yes, some teams are moving very quick. Those teams probably had some of these deals in the works in January. See Lukaku to Inter, see Real and Tcouameni, see Bayern and Sane and Bayern and Gravenberch. Not every team is going to move at the same pace.

Given the amount of dead weight we're wanting to offload as a club as well as the massive transfer made in January instead of this summer, I think there is some room for patience and understanding. But apparently if twitter isn't blowing up with Fabrizio dropping his moronic "Here we go" bullshit then our club is sitting still.

I think most of us are just shitposting during a slow mercato period. I know I am.

So are you implying that the club has been waiting for the summer to begin working on offloading dead weight? Why would the club be patient about that?

We should have signed CR7 and Neymar by now if they were offered to us. No-brainer moves for us to get top 4 next season.

I'm not exaggerating but he's the Brazilian DeS, I mean the DeS that was once a half decent player.

Solid in defense, prone to odd fuckups, but does fuck all offensively. Pretty much a DeS from the favela's.

You see that, what I (and most people) see is a team being strengthened in the areas they need before the season even starts. Quick, decisive and clear intentions in what they want for their coach. It’s not a perfect mercato for them, because at the end of the day, like us, they are in the shitty poverty Italian league, but it’s good as they can get. Lukaku in the last few years has been good only under Conte, Miki was no longer decisive even at Roma, and we all know the condition Dybala has been in recently.

It was the same last year. Only one player will leave they said. In the end they sold both Lukaku and Hakimi while Conte walked as well. What if this year it's gonna be the same, meaning they sell both Skriniar and Lautaro. Would you say they improved in the long run?

Not only Gatti but also Vlahovic and Zakaria. Half of January the media was linking us to garbage like Aubameyang, Icardi, Milik et consortes while all of a sudden Della Vale came up with Vlahovic. Zakaria was done within the last week of the mercato even though according to the media he was promised to Bayern on free or wanting to evaluate his options peacefully while his contract runs out. Gatti was already in Torino CF they said.

Not to mention they managed to offload both Bentancur and Kulusevski in the meantime.

If January was reassuring for you guys I don't know what will.
