It doesn't make sense to sell McKennie just becasue we cannot sell Rabiot. Keep McKennie; he won't start every match but he'll be useful. We all know we'll have injury problems.
We dont need to sell McKennie because we cannot sell Rabiot. We need to sell McKennie because he is not good enough. Same as Rabiot and Arthur.

For all the crap we talk of Rabiot, he is a better midfielder than the other two. He is just entitled and overpaid so we should sell him too.

Wouldn't call Rabiot much better but spot on in the first part. We must sell to upgrade and all those guys who aren't good enough are on the market.

McKennie and Arthur are basically half a player each that together would make Khedira.

McKennie doesn't have nowhere near enough talent to be a midfielder at a top club. He has vision to attack the box and run between the lines. But he lacks all the basic skills a midfielder is supposed to have. That's why he gets played only on the wings or as an attacking midfielder. He cannot play the role of a regular midfielder.

Arthur is the opposite. All the skill needed to control the ball, protect it under pressure, and pass accurately. But none of the athleticism or vision.

These two need roles catered specifically to them to cover their big deficiencies, something that can be done at a smaller club but not at Juve. A Fiorentina, Atalanta, or Verona could surely make a good role for them.

At least Rabiot does have a proper midfielder profile. He is lazy and entitled which means he will never fulfill the promise of his talent. But still this lazy underachieving version of Rabiot is still a functional midfielder. He is more of a passenger than a liability when he has a bad game, as opposed to the other two.

Is that why he made it in the Bundesliga and caught the attention of a top club?

please, elaborate

Juve doesn't need to do fine in Serie A. We are talking about top level. Rincon did very well in Serie A. Sturaro does fine in Serie A. We are looking for more, particularly now.

The bar for a top club is higher. Look at a player like Pessina, a better version of McKennie. Does well in Serie A. Still, not one we should be looking after right now. Locatelli and Pogba have the right level. Zakaria, maybe, let's see more. Fagioli and the other kids have the right talent to be given a chance and fill in that rotational role. For the rest we need better.

He offers more than Rabiot; that's my point. He attacks the goal, covers a lot of ground, puts in tackles.

What does Rabiot offer, other than one wondergoal every 2-3 years?
I disagree. There is no difference in quality between the two.

McKennie slightly more opportunistic for getting in positions
Rabiot much faster and better defensively
