For sure it's a panic buy, any transfer will be as such in my book. Tici had known for months we'd need a striker way before we sold Higuain. Yet he prepared nothing, so now we either overpay for old geezers or for someone younger.

So in math terms (this is my own math so hope its right, and it doesnt cover the tax cuts)

Dzeko - 15 mil fee + 7.5 for 2 years = 30 mil = 15 mil per year (Dzeko will retire here so no resale)

Morata (loan + buy) - 55 mil fee + 6 mil for 3 years = 24 per year
(Morata will be 30/31 at the end of the contract could likely sell for 20 mil, which would reduce the cost to 17.7 mil per year)

Morata loan only for one year = 10 mil sunk cost
