Netherlands to

De Jong
Van der beek
Ilhattaren
Teun Koopmeiners

In the end it comes down to tast.

I would pick France, most because of Camavinga and Aourar, also I believe Ndombele will be great, even if his first season in spurs had some problems. Rabiot im not sure but he had a positive end to the season, and now back in the NT

Locatelli
Tonali
Barella
Sensi
Zaniolo

That’s is probably the most promising young midfield in the world, can you name another country with midfielders of similar qualities that are born 1995-later?
No doubt a good group of players but over the years we have screamed for big names to join in that midfield. Not fussed about missing out on verratti considering at the time we ended up with vidal pirlo and pogba and marchisio in midfield which was probably the best group going around in Europe.

Since those 3 have left it has been a disaster and while I have more hope these days with benatancur rabiot and Arthur we all still hope for a pogba like to return.

Locatellis price is unrealistic, tonali doesn't want to join us, zaniolo situation is difficult now roma have new owners. So besides Barella and Sensi who I agree are good young talents i don't think we can crucify management for not snagging any of these players in the market. And let's be fair here...if we brought in these players most would cry saying we didn't go hard enough for more experienced and proven quality in europe.

We clearly have no money or are not willing to spend this summer. Dzeko to suarez and now to cavani...marquee players of the past with no transfer fees..just inflated wages to help with their retirement.

Id rather just loan back kean with an option to buy and invest faith in kulu to be a starter in that final third. Costa rumours to China etc are a concern...is he really not worth anything in europe?

Higuain will be gone..khedira still unknown. Besides that all others will stay...

A concoction of covid 19 impacts, poor player list management in previous years and stupidity when it comes to offering contracts to free players...all of this hit at once and has raped the club of any opportunity to enhance areas that are currently weak.

That's my rant from a 39 yr old cunt turning 40 mid next year LOL.

Someone else said it this evening. Its a failure that juventus doesnt at least has two of those. And i dont even care which two.
Little we can do right now, but its a letdown by our post-marotta management to have missed out on fucking all of them

I'll say it. ESPECIALLY BARELLA. We are starving for a good allround midfielder, and kid is about the most allrounded you can get. Excellent for a pressing and quick counter game (aka everything that works rn) too.

Look at our current midfield too

Rabiot, Barella, Arthur, Bentacur

Guy completes whatever trident you want to field.

Hence, trow me in some locatelli aswel. hardworking composed cm's. Italian ones. keeping the absolutely DISGUSTING complacence at bay
Can you imagine what a breath of fresh air it would've been to have just one of them last season? I'd honestly argue we need both now, considering the rumored forward line we're going to have.

I have been hyping Barella up since early 2018. I was laughed at when I claimed that Barella is better than Khedira in September 2018

Yeah absolutely.

So much money has been spend on useless and foreign aquisitions.

The issue is the midfield since 2017. Its been clear 2 seasons it lacks panache and steel. Overall driven players.

All of those italian potentials are this. Pressing, complete. working offence and defence. Composed.

Numbers look to good to be true on suarez.

I still don't buy this SHOULD have got at least one of those italian talents. No one on this forum was screaming out for these italian talents. All were considered good young players but not good enough to enhance our midfield to where it needed to be after pirlo vidal and pogba all left.

Losing out on talents like Aouar will be the thing we kick ourselves for...not barella.
