Looks at table and thinks Roma were contenders that season  How the frig do you not remember who was and wasn't.
They weren’t really ever true contenders for the title that season, but Napoli was even further away. Roma was in 2nd place in the league from Round 8 onwards until the end of the season. But we didn’t really have a real title challenger. Only reason we won the league by only 4 pts was because we were focusing on CL and basically threw the match against Roma on match day 36, with a 3-1 loss.

It's pavle, he's butthurt because he's been exposed once again. That's why he's loling at that and not Robee saying Napoli were the only competitive team that season. Funny character

You lot are arguing over hypothetical scenarios. It's pointless, no one knows what would have happened.

We have six CBs at the moment: De Ligt, Demiral, Bonucci, Chiellini, Rugani and Romero. Also as I said it's completely normal to play your more defensive fullbacks as CBs in a three man backline.
At the moment we still have Romero, Demiral, Bonucci, Chiellini, Rugani and De Ligt. And Dragusin as nice prospect in the primavera. So that’s 6 players at our disposal, we can discuss wether they have the qualities for it, but at least they’re here.

Cuadrado imo is more suited as a wingback.

Rabiot, Arthur and Bentancur are good in a more neutral role (not very attacking, not to defensively).

And a 3 man attack of Ronaldo - Jimenez - Dybala/Kulu is great (I assume that Jimenez will come after Schira’s Twitter message, he’s to be taken seriously).

Leaves us with Sandro. I think that he can adapt there, why not.

Btw I agree with 4-3-3. I rather see that, but we could deploy a 343 if we sign a pure 9, and we for sure will.
If I'm Pirlo, then I don't trust Romero and Rugani. I want either on the pitch as little as possible. Let alone both at the same time.

I go with something that the team knows perfectly well by now which is back 4. In the middle my sure stater is Bonucci and then I rotate both Chiellini and Demiral to bring them to some usable level. All of that while waiting for MDL to get back to fitness.

If we kept Pogba in 2016, we'd have been CL winners in 2017. But for whatever reason we sold him, and the team improved still (DA, Benatia, Pjanic, Higuain)
What?

Yeah that first Higuain season was never in doubt unlike end of next one and early scare with previous one when we had the fortune of seeing Padoin and Hernanes as regista, with people calling for Allegri's head and Higuain scoring every game.

So now we’re trying to hijack Silva from Lazio as per Italian football tv.
mediaset bs, agresti already denied it

Yes that's a lotta rotation lol.
i bet you surely compared that to other teams and can back your claim, you just didn't pull something like that out of your ass

or do you

fact is that comparing the playtime at juve and napoli during that season, 5 players played more than 85% of the available playtime at napoli (at juve: 0; the most played player had 80% of the playtime), and 9 players played for at least 70% of the available playtime (juve: 3). even more telling that only 15 napoli players reached 20% of the available minutes (at juve: 21, plus bentancur at 19%). you can argue napoli had less player available, but you'd be wrong: they used 23 players, juve used 25, including höwedes (5%), pinsoglio (1%) and caligara (0,1%).

you could also argue that chelsea was a lot more different with many more matches and a deeper squad. chelsea played 2 players for more than 80% during sarri's season, 5 over 70% (an other two close to it), and while they used 27 players, so they had a huge squad with plenty of changes during the season, only 19 players reached 20% of playtime, including both morata and higuain, who were their 9's for only half of the season. and it was an incredibly busy season with 63 matches, still, he couldn't properly rest his players. no wonder they only won 1 of their last 5 league matches, and only reached cl qualification because their direct rivals weren't much better.

oh, sample size is too small. i'm here to help with some random examples: tottenham this season: 0 players over 80% of playtime, 20 players over 20%. barcelona this season: relatively few matches (50), still only 3 players reached 80%, and 17 played 20%. bayern last year: fewer league matches, no league cup, so they could afford less rotation. still, only 3 players over 80%, 18 over 20%, an other very close.

i thought we would never get back to this topic again and it's common knowledge already that sarri doesn't rotate his squad too heavily. during that season you're talking some smarter things about, mertens would have rot on the bench if it wasn't for milik's injury, making those numbers even worse. sarri firmly believes in his gameplan, his players, and only injuries can force him to change.

Pipa's Facts:
2016 - Pogba's sale minus Raiola Piece: 75m
- We put 15-17m more and paid Pipa's clause
2018 - After two WC 90m striker years, we loaned him to Milan
- Milan came with ticket and claimed the return
- We managed another loan for six months to Chelsea and they also claimed the return
2019 - He came back
2020 - Our manager is considering even ending the contrat and assuming the 18m cost plus the negotiation with Pipa

Atalanta had contacts with Juventus today for Mattia Perin. (Romeo Agresti)

Juventus offered €30m + Perin to sign Zapata. (Tuttosport)

Only four players are unsellable for Juventus: Chiellini, De Ligt, Bentancur, Cristiano [Momblano]

Juve's mercato will not start until next week. They are focused on the staff of Pirlo and on the sales right now. @DiMarzio

Szczesny has a big offer from Manchester United. [Momblano]

Losing/selling Sarri, Matuidi, Khedira, Higuain and Perin in a week I consider as very successful.

19,3m net spend less and 33,7m gross (without Sarri). Could be less to with a buonuscita for Khedira or Higuaín, lets hope they’ll settle something.

chiellini is on the last year of his contract and he's got every chance to become a director in the foreseeable future, how is his situation any different from buffon? would we consider offers for buffon? :seven:

as for di marzio, did he notice we already released matuidi, or isn't it considered a mercato move?

i wanna be an italian sports journalist. great topic, zero responsibility.

Agresti talked about Matuidi today. The situation was totally different; Inter Miami approached him (/his agents) and they went to talk with the board. They ended up releasing him, without paying the last year of his contract because he already found a agreement with Inter. That’s why it went so smoothly.

Khedira and especially Higuaín are a different story.

If ManU is offering big money for Tek, we should take it.

We will need 4-5 important signings to take Scudetto next year and go far in CL.

Talks started for Perin-Atalanta

If Gosens comes, three in the back confirmed imo.

Gosens, Pellegrini on the left and Cuadrado and someone not on the roster (Dest?) on the right. Sandro gone.

Chiellini- Bonucci-Demiral in the back until De Ligt returns. That would also mean at least one of Rugani/Romero stays.
