The man masturbates to balance sheets, and downgrading the squad seems to be a hobby for him, so seeing as Icunti and the immensely overrated Chiesa are downgrades to Dybala, Higuain, and Costa, I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to make it happen all summer while ignoring the midfield, yet again. We need to purge this plague, send him as far away as possible from the club, along with the Chain Smoking Cancer and Goldilocks. We need to dispose of them before they cause more damage.

We need to create a team that functions well. Getting a coherent squad that offers a good fit is one of the main things that is missing.
One of the question marks is if that it possible with Dybala and Ronaldo together. I want it to happen, but Allegri and Sarri have both struggled to make it work. Both of the players are best with a CF creating space for them. So if we play them both to their strength and use a CF we end up with a very top heavy lineup. It seems to me that we would need excellent fullbacks and mezzale in top form to cover for that. Alex can do that but not Cuadrado or Danilo, we would need a new Licht that doesnt tire and new midfielders in the mould of Vidal and Allan.
Another option is that Ronaldo and Dybala adapt to play their best with each other. They are doing that better this season than last, but not enough.
The last option is selling Dybala and solving the whole tactical dilemma by being able to play a normal 433. It's not unreasonable that this might be the future.

I think to stay with Dybala-Ronaldo will work against Sarri. It's a handicap in terms of the style he wants to play. I'm sure for him it would be best to have just Ronaldo.
If we stick with the duo, my preference is to try to sign Inzaghi. His 352 is perfect for them. The way he uses Immobile-Correa is ideal for our team.

That's a retarded and shitty suggestion. Sell our 2nd best player to accommodate our best player, a 35 year old who probably won't be here for more than another 1 or 2 seasons at most. Then, you talk about our future. That's destroying our future right there.
Dybala and Ronaldo can co-exist and have done well together on occasion, but they need a functional midfield behind them. You don't sell your best players. You support them with a competent supporting cast so they can best express themselves.

Our squad is heavily imbalanced to the point that it is getting very difficult to accommodate our best, most competent players in a proper working formation.
Add to the fact that Sarri will not revert to a 3 at the back formation which seems our best bet at this point makes matters worse.
So either change coach by hiring Inzaghi as suggested, who would be happy to play with 3 at the back and sort the midfield issue over the summer.
Or if we somehow stick with Sarri, we would have to sacrifice Dybala, buy a proper CF and a winger or two, sort the RB issue and midfield as well so that we have a proper balanced team to play 4-3-3 for the foreseeable future. Basically if we are going to stick with Sarri, we'd need an even bigger revolution than with hiring a new coach.
The choices made by Paratici and Nedved have set us back by a couple of years and it does appear that we are going to end up wasting the last remaining peak years of Ronaldo.

Wed need some hefty plusvalenza from Dybala, and making no loss on Higgy, for us to add Chiesa and icardi, while not neglecting the midfield. Good news is that icardi comes from abroad so we can offer him good wages, and PSG has shown interest in some of our players before, so we could work something out. Now how do you convince Comisso to not ask 80M for Chiesa...
Sorry man, but Dybala has struggled for consistency since he arrived. His supposed best position is as CF or SS, but two coaches now have found it hard to play him there and have had to use him out of position to squeeze him into the team.
Ronaldo will be gone in one to two years, but we can't just wait for him to leave or retire to have a properly functioning attack.
Maybe if Sarri's attempt to use him as a false 9 works for the rest of the season, he has a future here.

Also would the tax benefit apply to Icardi? I thought a player had to have lived abroad for a period (I can't remember how long, but I believe more than a year)?

Honestly we badly need a heir to Vidal
This might be the weakest midfield I've seen Juventus both in terms of physicality and athletic ability.
We scouted two French midfielders in Tolisso and Ndombele to solve this issue but it appears both are injury prone and both haven't really lived up to their potential yet.
Who could be the other candidates ?
Pogba ? He would be an obvious choice but is he going to put in the defensive shifts as he used to in his younger days ? He's also got the reputation of being lazy at United. The outlay in securing his signing is going to be huge so it remains to be seen if we can afford him.
Allan ? He'd be a very good addition for sure. He's not elite but he gets the job done but he also plays for Napoli which is going to be a roadblock for us.
Kante? Would be a fantastic addition. Elite DM, just what we lack at the moment but not sure Chelsea is gonna even consider putting him on the market.
Who else ?? Any other suggestions?

thing is that vidal was quite a unique player. that kind of goal scoring ability rarely comes with midfielders. we can't focus on finding a new vidal, because that mission is bound to fail.
we still need a functioning, athletic, fast, yet balanced midfield. kante would be a fantastic player to start with. also, any of rodri, zaniolo, fabian ruiz, aouar and ruben neves would be great. add kante and any of those young guys to our current mids as replacements for sami and blaise, and it's already one of the best midfields in the world. all we need is a proper coach then.

It's not really his goals we miss at all I mean back then we needed our midfield to step up because our attackers were probably not in the top 100 list they were absolutely shocking compared to the midfield

I had a quick look at stats (from TM) from last season:
With Cancelo - conceded 30 goals in 34 games (0.882 gpg)
Without Cancelo - conceded 13 goals in 17 games (0.764 gpg)
Might be out by a goal or two if he was on the field at the time of the goal or not, but it's fairly negligible.
