If we could sell De Sciglio to PSG and get Spina back, that would upgrade our mercato from 5.5 to 7.0
Anyway we kept Dybbs and escaped Icardi, it's a win, 5.5, at least we didn't downgrade other places, except the wing backs.
It looked like we would start with a weaker team than we started at summer.
Major blows were the huge capital loss on Kean and our inability to get a reliable starter AMF, Ramsey obviously is a failure...

Just close the mercato already. I like the fact we didn't bring in any of the names mentioned. Rakitic would be perfect a couple of years ago but now we have too many cms anyway.

Poor transfer window for me we lost some promising young players like Kean kept Khedira Mandzukic etc and ended up with just Sandro as a lb option, now mds is injured we have Sandro and Danilo as the only fit wing backs we only have Demiral and Rugani as defensive cover so if bonucci or De Ligt gets injured we are down to 1 back up central defender , absolute shambles if you look at the facts

Take some Xanax. It’ll be fine.

Pretty damn good job with defense and midfield.

holy shit balls on the selling though
Yeah but you can’t really blame him if the players themselves don’t want to go.

Our base starts at 5/10,
our needs were 2CBs, one starter CAM, better back up keeper,
some said second CM and replace DS with a better RB sub
and last but not least, sell the deadwood.

+0.5 Keepers, we improved, we got Gigi back, a reliable subber and one more opportunity for CL glory, the only bad thing is Perin.
-2.5 Wing backs, criminal mistakes were made, Danilo is a downgrade to Cancelo and Pellegrini is a serie B player, the loss of Spina for 7mil+trash and rejection of the MDS PSG offer, were rookie mistakes, we were better off without changes.
I don't buy the plus valenta excuse, and that 22.5mil for Pellegrini just move the problem for the future, not solving it.
+3 CBs,i ve been screaming for years that this is our weakest link, (along with a lack of a CAM to link our midfield with out offense) . Chiello unfortunately has become injury prone we needed at least two (non Italian, cause they suck nowdays) players with starter potential and finally we got them! And even kept Rugani!
+1.5 Midfield as expected only got bigger and marginally better, actually we have upgraded Bentacour with Rabbiot, a defensive CM that we already had in so many faces(Matuidi, Can, Bența and Khedira) . It was imperative to sell some of the excess DMs and get at least one starter with offensive capabilities (SMS, Pogbs, Isco, heck even Mkhitaryan).
As expected we have failed to sell any of our losers, so getting Rabbiot creates more rotation and list problems.
As expected Ramsey is crippled and unfit to become a starter and by getting him we didn't got anyone else, so getting him for free and commit such a high salary was a double mistake both for this year and the future.
-2 Forvets; this was our make or brake field, that would determine if this mercato would turn into better, same or worse team. The Icardi rumors were scary and it was a live and present danger till the very end but we have dodged a bullet here!!
Pjaca was inevitable to be a burden.
But Kean wasn't, once in a couple of decades we got in our hands such talented and prolific hunter. Finishers are the most expensive players in this sport and in the past years promising players worth more than the actual champions. The hole situation was handled like crap, we ought to convince him at all costs to extend, advertise him and should be forced to sell, make at least a 100mil profit. Major mistake (- 2) to our nercato. Should Kean stay, we would have a very good finisher sub, able already to step in and score VS anyone and of course being a HG he had added value for us. Higuain imposed his stay and that put us in a bad spot, we are still manipulated by everyone and his dog. Unable to impose our will, our interests. We are bossed by every manager and player out there, we are giving the message of a rookie team that can be abused with ease.
Having said all that, after being bossed by Mino to gift away Kean and make him his new fortune maker, Higgy is the right CF we need.
The way we handled Dybbs also was unprofessional, we were so desperate to sell him off and cash in, made very ugly impression and on the top of it still fail to sell him and left with and ungry and sad player, who was motivated to improve but now will just eat our millions.
Money and prestige wise we lose a lot, but at least we saved some performance ability.

We started sooo good, this could easily be our best post calciopoli mercato, but both because of incompetence and major flaws in our strategic plans of previous years, we had to make heavy compromises that undermined our present and mostly our future.
Paratici was not at direct fault for those mistakes, but he knew them and had all the time in the world to fix them.
It reminds the game VS Napoli, we started with complete domination and 3-0 and then almost gifted it away, but we were lucky enough in end to be gifted a marginal victory.
PSG being our Coulibaly today.
However feeling that the defeat was s imminent, i ll take that win, 5.5/10
