Don’t see why people are complaining yes Boateng ain’t the player of a few years ago but we need experience in that defence and he has tons of it I will be fine with buying him rather than sticking with what we have, short term memory loss is rife in this forum we sold Benatia last season ended up with barza bonucci and Chiellini injures leaving us with what was a pathetic duo of Rugani cacacres for a few weeks , we need 5 fit centre half’s

This.

5 CBs is the goal and should have nothing less than 5 fit CBs for 3 competitions.

It's mainly because he isn't preferred CB after we signed Süle for 17/18. And wages, on top of that.
Because intelligently Bayern understood that Hummels and Boateng after their disastrous season were over for a top club, that's why they cleverly recruited for the future with Sule and Hernandez.
We will do the same stupidity as for the exchange Coman / Benatia: an old player, injury prone, huge salary and declining level. No wonder Bayern loves to do buisiness with us.

We have a lot of players that we can't sell and we want to buy another CB, over 30 that earns too much and 100% he's gonna be another dead weight in a few months.

Why.

Majority of this forum probably thinks he's finished, maybe it's true but for a fifth centre-back he should do just fine.
Yep, it's one thing to not want him as big starting CB signing. But for fringe backup, it makes us stacked to have this level of player as backup for us. Its pretty much like the luxury of having Benatia as backup.

I rather have this type of experienced former top top level CB as depth then the Caceres of the world, or a scared cat like Rugani.
