Why isn't he suited for it? He's very sound technically.
he's not good in buildup, he doesn't help bring the ball forward and that's crucial in Sarri's system. Can and Bentancur are not much better or worse than Sami in that aspect, but those guys have age and physicality on their side, I don't see Sami winning the pecking order battle over them next season

I heard that Khedira is wanted outside of Italy so I wouldnt count on him continuing his quest here
I just didnt understand that thumbs down for not selling Costa - He is a great player why should we want to sell him?
P.S I heard West Ham want Higuain loan with option that becomes obligation - how much truth is there in it @Mark
    depends on Higuain.

Re Higuain- London Evening Standard reporting the loan option that becomes obligatory.

So what you’re saying is they have one more solid investment in them? Perin will probably be another 20m. Same with Mandzukic.

Doesn't even include salary structure opening up.

Khedira probably leaving too. Higuain maybe to EPL for that 40m west ham bid lol

No, all of those tranfers out (~120M) are acounted in last year. This year till now:
    In ():
    - Buffon: 3M
    - Rabiot: 16,5M
    - Ramsey: 18M
    - De Ligt: 40M
    - Demiral: 6,6M
    - Romero: 5M
    - L.Pellegrini: 8M
    Total: 97M

    Out:
    - Spinazzola: 3M
    - Caceres: 2M
    - Barzagli: 7M
    Total: 10M

    Net: 87M

If we manage to sell players out to balance the cost of players in, we still have to find another ~120M revenue more to balance the book. So I doubt we will make another big signing, even have to sell some big players if needs.

How come? Orsolini was sold 3 weeks ago.

    Audero was sold in May.

-Rabiot: 10M fee, 5 years contract, 7M salary per year. So each year we pays for him: 10M/5(years) + ~7Mx2 (nearly 50% tax) = 16M. The same for Ramsey(4M fee, 8,5M salary) and Pellegrini(22M fee, 4 years, 1,3M salary)
    - Spinazzola's sale capital gain is 26,6M, already acounted for last year, so this years the only different is we're no longer have to pay his salary, which is 1,5M (~3M after tax).

Yeah, tranfers like that can be accounted for last year or this year, but the way we sell Spinazzola quick and high in number means we need to balance last year book. After financial report in February(?), they predicted we will record 50M loss, so I'm pretty sure all those sales are for last year book.
