Well yea everybody with eyes knows this. What a comparison dude.
Why purposefully ignore the other comparison? Also, I was exaggerating to make a point. Of all the Italian talent available, only a handful are good enough for us. This is a very average generation compared to ones past.

Di Marzio:

The situation involving Alexis Sánchez is on hold because of the player's economic request of €12m net.

There will be discussions again before the parties understand about Manchester United's price tag.
There's a price tag? Wtf, they'd be lucky if they could find a taker for him for free!

"For example, if we have a choice between Barella and Ndombele, Barella can fuck right off."

Don't really see any arguments to respond to...

Classic move to bid up Inter and let them win Sanchez. There's no way we can be interested.

..right?
"In 1999 I went to scout a player at Marseille and noticed an Inter scout was there for the same player. I had to misdirect him. I noticed Cyril Domoraud playing and started to praise him so the Inter scout could hear me. Within a week newspapers linked Domoraud to Inter and they ended up signing him. He turned out to be a very mediocre player."

I'm sure we've seen this scenario many times even with Marotta/Paratici.

I'm still not even convinced we want Icardi, we just want to destabilize them.

I have a feeling that when "paratici" is leaking these icardi rumors to the press he has an oddly feminine voice and the caller id says Milan.
