5 goals under Sarri this year and he's getting old. Not an ideal replacement for Mandzukic. At least he can provide some physical presence lower down the field when needed, but then again he's pretty useless in front of goal as well.
And with Pogba and De Ligt, its either one or the other. This year we either prioritize our mediocre midfield or boost our ageing back line. If we want Pogba, we'll need to sacrifice a name or two. Most likely Costa or Dybala. De Ligt shouldn't be a problem.
Technically our backline is also mediocre.

I keep making the case our backline has now the priority to fix.

To be fair to him, he was suddenly offloaded and sent to shitty Milan, who then also offloaded him and sent to Chelsea. He was never going to have a good season.

He scored a good amount of goals with us under a defensive manager. I'd give him a chance if we needed a striker. No way he will score less than Mandzu. And he can run and press.

Its Bonucci that's the problem. When he rejoined I thought he would regain that form which he had whenever he played alongside Chiellini. When he went to Milan and his form dropped, I began to realise that he's pretty useless without Chiellini. However, even when he came back he still seemed fairly mediocre, despite Chiellini alongside him. And let's not even talk about the state of the defence when him and Rugani formed our back duo when Chiellini was injured. Rugani cannot be our backup option

12-14M as reported, would be good investment.
Could be loaned to Sassuolo though after purchase.
Juve use Traore for Demiral

Juventus aim to sign Junior Hamed Traore from Empoli and loan him to Sassuolo as part of the deal for Merih Demiral.
The Bianconeri are very active on the transfer market and have already agreed terms with Sassuolo for Turkey international defender Demiral, who impressed in the 2-0 win over France last week.
It is widely reported Juve have clinched a swoop for the centre-back at a cost of €15m plus bonuses.
The idea initially was to leave him on loan at Sassuolo for a year, but his spectacular performances could prompt an earlier move.
In recompense, SportItalia claim Juventus will purchase midfielder Traore from Empoli and loan him to Sassuolo.
Traore had been on the verge of a move to Fiorentina, but the Viola never deposited the contract and the club takeover has left all their decisions up in the air.

Demiral and Traore - good start to mercato.

We need three quality players for XI - Bonucci upgrade, two midfield upgrades (those are priorities; Chiesa's future tied with Dybala's) - and we can afford all three post sales.

Don't f this up.

Calciomercato links us with Suso and Lo Celso
Suso seems to be a Sarri target wherever he goes while Lo Celso was only mentioned without a proper interest so its probably not really an option..
According to Calciomercato Suso would cost 40M despite his clause valid only abroad they say it will be his price for domestic as well.
Suso isnt bad but I dont rate him that high either..

I heard Oblak wants to leave Atletico - Pole+20M for Oblak? (or they are smarter than that?)

If we bring Demirel now, should this mean no better player than Bonucci?
Kinda a bad development...
Suso can play as AMF, this is exactly what we need the most, hopefully we will get two, one very expensive like Isco and one at the expense of one of our many injury prone wingers.
Suso for Dcosta or Manzdu+Cuads would be fine by me

Buy Piatek and try to buy Skriniar from Inter.Would harm the progress of our 2 upcoming rivals, while strenghthening us to 2004 levels.
Piatek is good but he is just a scorer he isnt anything that we would need - For me Kean is as good as Piatek only lack his confidence.
Skriniar is indeed good but there are other easier to get and maybe even better...

I rather Skriniar and Romagnoli that back line :tuttosport::tuttosport:
What is all this Romagnoli fap fest all of sudden - He is good but you people make him look like he is the best CB in the world..

CdS: "La strategia Juve per Milinkovic o Pogba. L'arrivo di Emerson e Hysaj per il sacrificio di Cancelo o Alex Sandro. Poi l'assalto a uno tra il Polpo e il laziale"
If they will swap Sandro and Cancelo to Hysaj and Emerson then I'm not watching any matches for a couple of the next years, im getting rid of my membership, fuck this shit

Are you kidding me?! overall Hysaj+Emerson>A.Sandro+Cancelo!
People see something flashy and automatically decide its the best - Well it doesnt work that way...

A.Sandro is good and IMO we should keep as he can defend and attack (even if not as great as he once was)
Cancelo is our most overrated player on the team! Yeah he can dribble and yeah he is fast but his position is of a defender so the first thing he should know is defending and I dont know if he even hear about the word defending not to mention actually defending...
Hysaj to me is twice as good as Cancelo!

as for Pogba or SMS - No matter who we get thats a huge plus...

Yep, getting Hysaj as Cancelo's replacement is more than OK. Cancelo's price would cover Hysaj + Romero + Demiral transfer, I guess.
Besides, we already sold Audero, Sturaro and Cerri. So, we are more than ready to buy (and have the money) Pogba or SMS. Other question, who will be the other central defender bought, because Romero will stay on loan by Genoa.

The biggest problem of Cancelo is not his actually defensive skill, but his tendency to lose focus, overdribbling and losing the ball cheaply in the dangerous position. We have seen it so many times this season. Many of them were covered by other defenders but some lead to goals against Atalanta and Ajax to name just few, and for me it is unacceptable for a team who want to win C1, where one mistake would cause a defeat.

This too..
He could be a good winger but as a defender I`d take Hysaj over him anyday..
