Cancelo is technically a brilliant player but simply makes some stupid decisions.

But we shouldn't sell him

He needs to be utilized in a different way

Heck he can easily even slot in as a wing option if Costa and/or Cuadrado leave

He can also play on the left side which is another plus.

I don't see how it's not useful to have a player like him around instead of simply disposing him off after 1 season. There is room for improvement here.

My post was merely meant to imply that we are happy to dispose off the more technically gifted players on the squad while the ones that ACTUALLY need to be dumped end up sticking around. Its not happened yet but its just a concern.

We have two defenders that can play on both sides: Spinazzola and MDS. We shouldn't keep Cancelo as a defender for that reason, though I see your argument for it. We have two players that can do that.

Push Cancelo forward as an attacker. Say fuck off to Chiesa unless we plan on selling Costa and/or Cuads. Cancelo can play on either side up front or as a wingback in a 352, that makes him valuable, not as a RB like we had all hoped, unfortunately.

So, that sorta causes a new problem for us. We need a RB unless we plan on starting MDS for an entire season (lol).

I'll venture to say this: get a better CB than Bonucci, one that is sublime in defending like Chiellini is, and we can keep Cancelo as a RB because he has better defensive coverage behind him when he goofs.

Sorry I meant not literally but as in criticizing him harshly knowing that he’s one of our most talented players. It’s the same with the other names I’ve mentioned. I admit that I was critical of Pjanic on numerous occasions but U realize now that he is not to let go. We all know what our main problem is: the midfield. For this to be a satisfying mercato we must get rid of some of the useless players while keeping our most talented.
Out:Khedira, MDS, Rugani, Matuidi, DC(only because of injury problems), Cuadrado.

Further up could be CM in a 4312 and as a wingback, in which case both his statements are still accurate
