The difference is Van Dijk comes up against quality opposition week in week out and in the CL, while Romagnoli sometimes faces Costas Dzagzidis and Mahmoud Fanta in the Europa League.

As Milan will inevitably miss out on the CL and end up in financial difficulty, what players would you guys want from them?

Dollarumma is a fraud so no thanks.

Romagnoli seems quality and the rumors are he will be sold but idk. Milan will surely want to do everything to avoid selling him to Juve but he is Italian and they rarely leave Italy plus our management has a hard on for adding them in when we can. I say go for it but I don't expect Milan to offer a fair deal here and in the end it will probably be best to look elsewhere.

Caldara, if Milan are willing to let him go on the cheap he could be an interesting option. Definitely shouldn't be our primary CB signing but if we are looking for five CBs next season and his value has declined considerably from not playing...

Piatek won't be sold.

Paqueta and Bakayoko are the other two interesting options. Highly doubt they will agree to sell Paqueta. I am not too familiar with Chelsea's current situation but i am guessing the transfer ban means that, if he isn't taken by Milan, Chelsea might want to keep him around?? :boh:

Kessie has some raw abilities but he is a moron no thanks

I said he is a good defender and then I said he is no better than Rugani so worst case scenario I say both Rugani and Romagnoli are good but not great..
Yes I do rate Rugani and think he still has hope but he needs to be a backup right now and nothing more as he is yet to reach the level we need for a starter..
As for Bonucci - He lost it.. He is nowhere near as good as he was before his departure to Milan.. I agree that Romagnoli might had a better season than Bonucci last year but it doesnt mean anything as Bonucci was horrible last year..

Right now I see it like this (out of 10):
Chiellini is a 9
Bonucci is a 7
Rugani is a 7
Benatia is a 7 (No longer with us)
Barzagli is a 6 (too slow as he is 1000 years old now..)

Romagnoli still hasnt convinced me he is more than a 7..
7 is good but I want 9s.. or a really young 8...
There are no 10s btw..
If Bonucci is a 7 then Romagnoli is a 12. But I see what you're doing, so Italian Ramos is clearly an 8 in your scale.

If Milan is falling apart, we definitely want Romagnoli. Chiellini is fucking 35yo, injured every two weeks. He's a warrior and still a fantastic defender but he can't play 40-50 games a season anymore. Romagnoli fits the profile prefectly IMO, playing next to Bonucci or Rugani should be good.

Replacing Chiellini won't be easy but expecting us to dump 80m for De Ligt is very unrealistic I'd say. The question is how much Romagnoli would cost though.

would be too good to invest money on a big defender being 19years old setting us up for the next 14years xD way too smart! let's bring in Manolas 28years old that will make problems cause he's gonna be the third behind Chiello and Bonucci... wanting to leave like Benatia...

I’d rather sell Rugani to EPL and get Manolas and romagnoli.

Barzagli retire
Caceres aell
Chiellini vs his calves not good

We need 2 new CBs minimum in my opinion

This year we had barz, Chiellini, Caceres, Bonucci and Rugani and sometimes that wasn’t even enough with injuries. Horrible

We need 5 CBs...2 are leaving and one is injured more frequently

I'm sure our management would love to sign De Ligt. However the decision is in De Ligt's hands and if the rumors are to be believed he prefers Barca. So I have no clue what you're on about.

just saying that De Ligt would be perfect to renew our retiring/old defence
Would be really a shame to see him elsewhere and I know he'd prefer Barcellona together with his friend De Jong but you hope is the last to die out =/

By the way If I could I would keep only Chiellini.
Selling Bonucci and Rugani as well.
getting 2 youngs like De Ligt and Romero (which is already ours) and a more experienced one accepting to be a sub and being reliable when needed
I know asking for too much!

Point is we need 2 clear starters and 2 subs that can play for it but not annoyed if they don't play as often they think should do
