We shouldn't be comparing ourselves to Napoli tbh

We're supposed to be targeting the CL; We've won Serie A for 6 years running. Our ambitions need to extend beyond domestic dominance and local borders

Can and Dembele would be really solid tho. I'm still hoping for one of SMS or Pogba, and Martial. If Beppe pulls that off, and keeps Dybala, Pjanic, and Sandro, the Mercato is a solid 9 in my book.

I really like Torreira's game.

Wouldn't mind Can + Dembele + Torreira at all. Gives us a good balance of experience and potential as well. Golovin (I know nothing about him, but seems a lot of people rate him) instead of Torreira would be good too.

Can + Dembele alone is decent, but not great. If we're only pulling in 2 CMs and one is Can on a free, I'd like to see the main signing be a bigger splash than a 31 year old Dembele. SMS/Kovacic/etc

The characteristics of the CM you want change depending on a 2 man midfield or 3 man midfield.

I think Dembele is a really, really good option in a 2 man midfield. Arguably as good as would ever be available to us.

Dembele-Can is really strong in front of the defence.

I was only being a wee bit sarcastic. I'd be a wee bit disappointed if our midfield signings were Can + Dembele and that's it.

Add to those two a young, somewhat established player with lots of potential like Torreira or Golovin, as I wrote above, and I'd be super happy. 10/10 CM reinforcements with Can + Dembele + Torreira/Golovin

Sturaro + Marchisio + Khedira/Matuidi leaving.

Oops, I meant signing those 3, not those 3 as our starting mid. Can-Dembele-Pjanic with Torreira/Golovin and Bentancur waiting in the wings would be pretty great.
